Sonic Riders (a story and game) Part 53 The Battle Ends
*The dark,shadowy aura returns and surrounds Knuckles' body*
(Do you remember the dark,shadowy aura? It's in the last entry below.)
*Shadow backs off from Knuckles*
Eggman (pressing buttons) : Shadow,hold him off while I do something!
Shadow: Right!
Shadow (thinking) : Although,I might not be able to. His power seems to match my power. But I will not let him beat me again!
*Shadow shoots 3 yellow stars at Knuckles,but they bounce off him*
Shadow: No way!
*Shadow starts charging at Knuckles,but the dark,shadowy aura hits him*
During th fight.........
Sonic (shouting) : Jenny! I need you to get me to Eggman's ship!
Jenny (flying towards Sonic) : Coming!
Rouge (peeking inside) : .........
Rouge's Memory-
Knuckles: It's just a bruise. I'll be okay.
Rouge (thinking) : Hopefully.
Present-
Rouge (thinking) : I guess he was wrong. Now he looks so possessed.
*Rouge sees Knuckles' tail glowing black*
Rouge (thinking) : I've got to make that glowing stop. I think that's how he's getting controlled.
*Rouge doubtfully gusts at Knuckles' tail,but the dark,shadowy aura stops it*
Rouge (thinking) : I think something is protecting it so he won't be unpossessed. But I don't think unpossessed is a word.
To the main room.......
Tails: Amy,start up the claws!
Amy (pressing a button) : Got it!
*Large claws come out of the bottom of the Blue Typhoon*
*The claws grab Eggman's ship and pulls it toward them*
*Missiles shoot at Eggman's ship*
Rouge: Ahhhh!!!!!
Rouge (thinking) : What are they thinking?! Knuckles and I are still on Eggman's ship!
*Rouge looks inside*
Eggman (pressing buttons) : Lasers,missiles,bombs,robots!
*Eggman fires all those things at Knuckles,but Knuckles knocks all of it away with a push of his hand*
*Knuckles walks toward Eggman*
Eggman: Ahhhhh!!!! Shadow-help!
*Shadow goes in front of Eggman*
Shadow: You want a fight? Go against me.
*Knuckles smiles an evil smile,and the aura makes a fist and hits Shadow*
(Reminder-Knuckles is possessed.)
Rouge (thinking) : I think since he touched the dark object,maybe there is a shadow figure possessing him. Dark's weakness is light,but I don't have any light. Besides-I think it's shadow aura not a dark aura.
*She looks at Knuckles closely,and sees whenever Knuckles strikes the aura does it for him and goes away from him*
Rouge (thinking) : Maybe when he strikes,I'll grab his tail.
Sonic (on Jenny) : Rouge!
Rouge: Sonic,I think I know how to turn Knuckles back to normal!
Jenny (flying,Sonic on her) : All right!
*Jenny lands in front of Rouge,and Rouge whispers in Sonic's ear*
*Sonic waits*
To the main room (Again) ........
Chris: Tails,we can't shoot anymore! Sonic,Rouge,Jenny,and Knuckles are on Eggman's ship!
Cream: What's going to happen?
Tails: Looks like all we can do is wait.
Cosmo: We have to at least purify Knuckles. That way,we can be a team again.
Big: Purify?
Froggy: Ribbit ribbit ribbit? (Translation-What does that mean?)
Tails: Purify means to turn bad into good.
Espio (meditating) : I already knew that.
Vector: Espio,how could you meditate at a time like this?!
Charmy (confused) : Uh,at a time like what Vector?
*Vector covers his face*
Amy (thinking) : This is really pressuring.
To Eggman's ship...........
*The dark,shadowy aura strikes Shadow again,and Sonic runs up to Knuckles' tail and pulls it*
(That may be wierd,but that was the only thing I could think of!)
*The dark,shadowy aura disappears,and Knuckles turns back to normal*
(The tip of his tail is still black.)
Knuckles: Huh? What happened?
Sonic (letting go of Knuckles' tail) : Glad you're back,Knuckles.
Knuckles: Back from what? And how did I get into Eggman's ship?
Jenny: It's a long story,Knuckles. We'll tell you on our way back.
Sonic: Rouge was the one who helped most of all-besides Jenny.
*Rouge blushes*
Knuckles: Rouge?
Eggman: Yuck! I hate mushy parts! Get out of here-NOW!
*They go out of Eggman's ship and fly towards the Blue Typhoon*
(Sonic and Knuckles ride on Jenny's back.)
*The claws let go of Eggman's ship.
Shadow: Doctor,I've never seen you like that.
Eggman: Me,neither. I guess it just happened.
Well,it looks like nobody won. At least,Knuckles went back to normal-or did he? Will he do it again at a certain time? Or will it never happen again? That Eggman was ridiculous to launch an attack.
Eggman: Hey! I tell you-I have an IQ of 300 you know!
Be quiet,Eggman.
