Sonic Riders (a story and game) Part 59 Jet Returns 2/3
(Readers-I may put fractions such as 2/3 in the title. It means it's a 3-part story or 4-part,5-part,etc.)
(Reminder-Shadow and Eggman were put to sleep-again.)
(I thought since I put so many mornings and afternoons in my stories,I would start this one at night.)
(Knuckles is on Guard Duty.)
(Guard Duty-Where someone stays awake for half the night and guards the others. He/she then switches with somebody else and sleeps. I made it up.)
(Small part in the evening-
Amy: Here it is-the main room.
*She enters the main room,but comes out*
Amy: I think I'll stick to being in bed.
*She walks back into the Resting Room*
Knuckles (walking around in the Blue Typhoon,thinking) : I'm usually the first one picked to be on Guard Duty. Sonic goes after me,but since he's injured I have to stay up the whole night-Yeesh,I'll probably be a bit weaker when they wake up.
*Knuckles keeps walking until he sees Jet,leaning on the wall*
Knuckles: Jet,what are you doing up this early?
Jet: I couldn't sleep-Storm kept snoring like a pig.
*Jet yawns*
Knuckles: Well,at least try to get some sleep-it's important.
Jet (yawning) : Why aren't you sleeping?
Knuckles: I was picked to be on Guard Duty again. Usually,Sonic goes after but he's injured so I have to stay up all night long.
Jet (yawning) : You don't get tired? How do you stay awake?
Knuckles: That's none of your business-get at least an hour of sleep-see ya.
*Knuckles walks away from Jet*
Jet (thinking) : Knuckles may be tough,but he needs sleep,too.
To Wave and Storm........
*Storm snores loudly in the room*
Wave (holding her ears shut,in the bed) : Why must I sleep in here?!
To the Resting Room........
Rouge (waking up) : Man,my fever has gone down-that's good.
*She looks around the room*
Rouge: I must've slept for a really long time-it's 3:30 in the morning. I think I'll go find Knuckles.
*She exits the Resting Room*
*Amy sleeps well*
To Espio,Charmy,and Vector........
(Espio meditates as he sleeps and wakes up immediately if he hears/senses anything.)
*A loud thump sounds comes,and Espio hears it*
Espio (immediately waking up) : What was that?
*He looks at Charmy and Vector snoring for a while and goes outside of the room'*
Espio (seeing Rouge) : Rouge!
Rouge (on the ground) : Yeah,I tripped. Sorry if I got you worked up for nothing.
Espio: No,I was going to wake up anyway.
Rouge (getting up) : At 4:00 in the morning?
Espio (walking away) : I meditate while I sleep.
*Rouge continues looking for Knuckles*
To Sonic.......
*Sonic sleeps well*
Sonic (talking in his dreams) : More adventures await us......
To Cream and Cheese.........
*Cheese wakes up*
*Cheese looks around and makes some scared sounds*
*Cheese goes back into bed with Cream*
Cream (waking up) : Cheese,what's the matter?
*Cream looks at the door*
Cream (getting back into bed) : Cheese isn't usually this afraid.....
To Tails......
Tails (talking in his sleep) : That tool goes in the blue box,that nail is suppose to be hammered into the enginizer.....
(Does it seem like he's having a good dream to you?)
To the main room...........
Knuckles (looking out the window,sitting on the bottom of the stairs of the commander's seat) : Life sure is boring at night-especially if you're on Guard Duty.
*He sighs and gets his board*
Knuckles (holding his board) : I think I'll go riding outside.
*He opens the door and sees Jet*
Knuckles (holding his board) : Jet!
Jet: Well,I still couldn't sleep so I decided to go riding. Looks like you're going riding,too.
Knuckles (holding his board) : Yeah.
Jet (smiling) : Wanna race?
Knuckles (holding his board) : I usually do wrestling and fights,but I suppose a race will do.
Jet: All right-we start at dawn. It should be about 2 hours away from now. Prepare to get beaten.
*Knuckles makes an angry face and growls quietly*
Knuckles (thinking,holding his board) : Something's wrong-he seems...disturbed and desperate about something.
Jet (thinking,getting his board) : I will not lose to Knuckles-I suffered and lost against Sonic. I will not lose again. If I do,I will kill him.
Rouge (coming in) : Helloooooo?
Knuckles (holding his board) : Rouge?
Rouge: My fever's gone down so I went looking for you.
Knuckles (holding his board, slightly blushing redface ) : Well,um......
Jet (thinking,getting his board) : Maybe I'll have some more fun with his girlfriend also......
To Wave and Storm (Again) ......
Wave (thinking,holding her ears shut) : Jet's plan for revenge seems to be put to work. If he loses,he will kill that Knuckles. If he wins,he settle down. Either way,he'll make sure that his rivals are gone.....
Storm (waking up) : Ugh,is it dawn yet?
Wave: Not yet-but you could try to stop snoring. I hardly got any sleep!
Storm: Sorry,I couldn't help it. But don't you think getting his rivals is a bit overboard for revenge?
Wave: I guess so,but we take orders from Jet;Jet's our leader.
Storm: If you say so.
*They walk out of the room*
To Cosmo......
*Cosmo keeps turning around in her sleep*
Cosmo's dream..........
Knuckles: Ha! I beat you!
Jet: No!
*He takes out his "Feather Fans" and shoots feathers at Knuckles*
(Readers-Jet has some kind of Feather Fans that allow him to attack. This is the FIRST and ONLY time he will be using it. Don't miss the next part!)
*The sharp feathers hit Knuckles in the stomach,and Knuckles grunts in pain*
Rouge: Knuckles!
Wave (throwing a capsule) : Red Gravity Capsule! Go!
*She throws the capsules at Rouge and Knuckles,and they get slapped onto the ground inside the capsule*
*Sonic comes running out*
Sonic (a little bruised) : Oh no!
Storm (jumping onto Sonic) : Body Slam!
Back to Reality.....
*Cosmo wakes up gasping very hard*
Cosmo: Something wrong and bad is going to happen. Something very bad......
Chris (coming in Cosmo's room) : Are you okay,Cosmo? I heard you wake up.
Cosmo: I believe so,but I think I had a vision.
Jenny (coming in) : Has any of you seen Shadow or Eggman?!
Chris: They're not in the prison?!
Jenny: No,they got out somehow-I don't know where they are!
Chris: That's impossible! You said they could only get out from the outside!
Jenny: Somebody must've let them out!
Cosmo: Oh no!
To Eggman and Shadow.........
Eggman: Soon,Jet will do as I said to get this precious Chaos Emerald. The one he gave to Sonic was a fake,but Sonic doesn't know that. Everything will go perfectly well.
Shadow: Doctor,everything is in place. Jet shall race Knuckles which will lure Sonic into the trap.
Eggman: Perfect......
*Eggman laughs evilly*
Oh no! Jet doesn't seem to have turned over a new leaf! But how could he be on Eggman's side?! And why does he want that Chaos Emerald?! What's the purpose Cosmo's dream?! A complete trap to kill Sonic and Knuckles and get an Emerald in return?! What is going on?!
