Everyone has something they hide from everyone else. Something that no one else they'll allow to know. The deepest, darkest secret of all, the deepest darkest fear of theirs being that someone will discover it, even if they are not aware of it. Guilt.... Shame... it is a powerful emotion that both keeps a soul in check and eats it alive. Bit by bit... as the secret gets darker... deeper... it grows stronger, like a lie... Eventually someone will find it out... And the guilt will either force someone into a better person eventuallyt... or drive them into insanity by a forced happiness, a defense mechanism whose purpose is to protect the body, but only suceeds in making things worse. Fear... there is much fear in me... I have secrets too. Even Rachel... can only guess at my deepest, darkest secret. I am not ready to reveal it... but I fear it may be exposed already... I am shamed.
