Of course, the Zangoose had had just rescued was now following him! How was he supposed to get any sleep now? He hated being awake during the daylight, as a dark-type. The mongoose probably thought he didn’t notice, but he did. His ears picked up every movement and sound the other was making. Why was he following him? Did he need something? Did he want something? And suddenly the Mightyena felt uncomfortable. What if the mongoose planned on attacking him? That would have been pretty stupid on his part, but it could happen.
He could imagine it now. The Zangoose, using his dangerous claws, pinning him against a tree, threatening him to help the other, becoming his protector, or something like that, then being forced to drag him to home and serve his every whim like a pet. The wolf did not like that idea at all. He clenched his jaw and stopped walking, wanting to get the upper hand before the pokemon behind him could take that chance.
Whipping around as the other crashed into him, any idea of the Zangoose forcing him into anything vanished as he saw a grin on his face. A stupid on at that too, “Why the hell are you following me?” the wolf growled out, annoyed when all the other did was wave his hand nonchalantly.
“What makes ya think I’m following you? Maybe I just live in this direction. Did’ja ever think of that?” the mongoose replied, and the Mightyea pursed his lips. He had not thought of that, but if he did live in this direction, why go and battle a Seviper when he could have cozily been at home?! Feeling his leg get poked, the wolf sidestepped away, not wanting anything else to do with the annoying stray that had attached itself to him like a parasite.
“And do you actually live in this direction?” the dark-type interrogated further, seeing through the others lie like water. Hearing the other huff was enough of an answer for him anyway.
His eye twitched when he was advised not to assume things and promptly smacked the mongooses’ hand away when he wagged it at the wolf. He was not a child and refused to be treated like one! Whipping around, he quickened his pace, trying to loose the normal-type, but he knew that the Zangoose was fast. Just not that fast.
That’s it. He was just going to ignore the other pokemon. Maybe then he would go away. He was well aware of the other walking up beside him, watching him expectantly, but the wolf dared not look at him. He was going to ignore him.
“Sooooooo, where are ya going?”
The Mightyena remained silent.
“Come on, you can tell me~ Well, maybe not, if it was to somewhere embarrassing or something, like a whore house or your grandma’s.
His eyebrow twitched, annoyed. This was the most annoying pokemon he had ever encountered! He did not know it was just getting worse from there either.
Somehow, he learned of the mongooses name. Zan. How…simple. The wolf sighed inwardly, trying to tolerate it, but when the normal-type gave him a nickname, or a name, or whatever it was, he began to growl low. Yena? It sounded so childish! He was no child, that was for sure! The mongoose just kept going on and on about useless things too! Age, colors, hobbies. And what an unfair judgement, calling the wolf a cat person! He was a Mightyena! He was a wolf!! A WOLF! That was the last straw for him…
“Just shut the hell up already!!!!” he snapped, eyes flashing as he flexed his hand, ready to claw, punch, bite, just tear the other pokemon apart if he said one more word!!
Inhaling deeply, the dark-type, now dubbed Yena, tried to calm himself down. There was no way he was going to give into the annoying babbling of a childish normal-type. He could not believe they were close to the same age! The maturity level difference e was monumental.
“How ‘bout this, Yena,” he heard the Zangoose say, Yena already becoming annoyed by the nickname, “You let me come home with you and then you help me bandage my wounds. After that, I’ll leave you the hell alone. Forever.”
Blinking at the offer, he weighed his options. He only had to be annoyed for a short while longer, and then the pest would be gone. Zangoose were known to keep their promises, so what did he really have to loose in this exchange. The only thing Yena hoped for was that his sanity would keep up.
“Fine…” he muttered out, turning on his heel and picking up his pace, wanting to get this over with as soon as possible, not noticing the stupid grin on Zan’s face but focusing on his own unhappy scowl.
