    Chapter 2

“Beep. You have two new messages. First message left at 12:33PM.”

“Hey Patrick, this is Sue from your wife’s office. I’ve been trying to get a hold of Silvia on her cell but haven’t been able to get a hold of her. She hasn’t come into work today, so I just wanted to make sure everything is alright. Anyway, give me a call back if you know anything. My cell number is 310-979-3589.”

“Beep. Next message left at 3:11PM.”

“Hey mom, sorry I couldn’t get a hold of your cell. Both yours and dad’s cells must have been out of range and I didn’t want to leave a voice mail. Anyway, I’m hanging out with Christy after school today. I’ll try to call you later when you’re home.”

    “Beep. End of new messages.”

Well at least I won’t have to worry about Rebecca. She’ll probably want to spend the night over at her friends tonight as it is. At least it’s the weekend. God, what I would give to just sit down on the couch and relax for a while watching TV for a change. Yet… I have this mess to take care of…

I wonder if I should call Sue back right away and tell her that I don’t know where she is at ether. That might cause a panic though. I can’t wait too long though, or they might get suspicious. I’m going to have to try to get rid of the body as soon as possible. Maybe I should call the police first. We had the fight around 8-9PM last night. The police won’t file a missing person’s report for at least 24 hours. If I call them, it’ll at least make it look like I was earnestly worried about her.

Let me do that then, but what about the body. I figure I have 45 minutes at the very most. That’s probably pushing it; I only have 30 minutes at this point. All of the blood as been cleaned up from this morning and was placed in the dumpster outside. Trash collection isn’t until Tuesday though. I’ll have to get rid of the bloody towels before then. I should also clean the kitchen in the mean time. I can pass it off as a nervous habit. Saying that in order to get over my worries about my wife, I went ahead and cleaned the entire house top to bottom.

My choices are at this point are to burn the body, burry it, god… attempt to dispose of it in pieces… or possibly frame someone else. The last choice is going to be the most difficult. Burning and burying the body will likely get me caught later on in the long run. Perhaps I can dispose of the body far away from here. The problem is getting the money for gas without leaving a trace. Not to mention almost every gas station has cameras now a days.

If I cut up the body, I can’t use any house hold item…

    “Incoming call from Rebecca. 310-979-3213.”

Oh crap Rebecca! Please let her want to stay with her friend tonight!

    “Hello?”

    “Daddy?”

    “I hear you’re at your friend’s Christy.”

    “Did mom tell you that?!”

    “What?... No—“

“I can’t get a hold mom! I’m worried about her!”

“Rebecca, calm down. You’re mother’s doing just fine.”

“Are you sure?! Have you talked to her?!”

“Rebecca, please calm down. She’s doing fine. Why don’t you—“

“I’m worried dad! I’m coming home right now!—Click”

    “Rebecca? Rebecca?!”
