    Dear Diary,

Today, I woke up not remembering where I was. I looked around the room and saw an old quilt draped over my body with a rocking chair and crocheting stuff in the corner by the window. I inhaled and smelled a deep musky smell that reminded me, not of my dad, but of my Grandpa. BINGO! I'm staying at the Johnson's house. After getting dressed I walked downstairs and into the kitchen where Mr. Johnson was reading a newspaper and Mrs. Johnson was making coffee for him. I looked around until I saw a variety of cereals on the counter and a open cupboard with bowls in it. I walked over grabbed a bowl and the box of Cheerios and walked over to the table. I sat down and ate my cereal in silence. Mrs. Johnson came over with a few cups of coffee and asked me what happened. "Dad was drunk." was all I needed to say she silenced me after I said it and waited until I was done my breakfast to ask if I needed a ride to school. Mr. Johnson drove me and on the way I asked him when his son, Bobby, was coming back for a visit. Five days. I went through my day as I usually did. English. Math. Lunch. Spare. And after school, cheer leading practice. I'm captain of the team. After practice my boyfriend, Jay, drove me home. He kissed me goodnight and promised he'd pick me up for school tomorrow at 7:30am. I went strait to the room I was staying in and called my brother. I hadn't seen him at school and I was really worried. He didn't answer so I left him a message. I hope he's okay.
