• It had been 120 years since that forgotten day. Vampires were now admitted into society. Every one had their place. That is besides one couple. Reverie had now forgotten. The memory had been locked in the back of her mind and would not come out again. Her mind was now protecting her. Caleb’s however was not. And he would never be released from the events of it.

Arielle came time and time again. Forgotten also about that significant day, that was insignificant to her. Told stories about the human world, she had also brought new technologies to the household. Reverie was delighted with her new toys and longed to experience some stories of this new human race herself. Having forgotten that event, she could not understand why Caleb would not let her go. For the first time in all their immortal lives they were fighting. And had been doing so for the past 19 years.

Having taken the last straw with the unreasonable excuses and rules from Caleb. She set off to leave.

“Where are you going” Caleb said menacingly at her, hand on the doorknob to their bedroom.

“Oh, you know where I’m going” Reverie snapped

“I also know where you’re not going!” Caleb slammed the door so hard it shattered. He stomped his way to the bed were her suitcases lay, leaving dents and cracks in the stone and marble tiled floor.

“So glad to see you can control your temper,” said Reverie sarcastically.

“Yeah, I know” Caleb picked up a suitcase and slammed it into the floor. There were now dents, cracks, a hole, glass, and fabric shreds on their marble floor.

“ No, you really don't,” Reverie waved her hand over the mess; her physic abilities had improved with intensive training over the past 100 years, there was now no rebel to be seen in the house. Her suitcase now neatly spread over the place on the floor where the hole had once been. She glared at Caleb.

    “You know something will happen.”

It stung to see him looking at her so gently as she was about to leave him.

“Sorry” she whispered, and with that she left.

She knew that Caleb would not intercept with her leaping out of the forest house with the suitcases following behind her in the air. He was angry, but he still loved her as she loved him, and yes she was also angry. Yet, the wedding band was still on her left hand ring finger. And there it would stay.

Little did she know, how very close the prophecy locked in the back of her mind was to coming true…
