• January 15th, 1782

    Dear Diary,

    I just met this young boy, last night. My parents were having a banquet in the ballroom, celebrating my eldest sister's new marriage.
    The boy stayed close to the curtains, glaring wildly at all the dancing pairs. The minute my eyes were laid upon him, I was widely attracted. I had picked up my fan, and thrust it in front of my face, as I descended the staircase. I was just I few feet away from him, when Commander Watten waltzed over, and lifted me off of my feet. Yes, he was amazingly attractive, yet he was titled as a heart breaker, in which my father scolded me into staying away from him.
    The commander flirted with me, as usual, and twirled me around a couple times. I could truly feel my corset getting tighter and tighter, so I excused myself to go take a rest. I strode away from the commander, and glanced around for the boy, and realized that he had vanished from my sight. I sighed disappointed, and sat in the nearest chair, to soon see the boy sitting right next to me. I gasped, and then laughed amused. The boy just stared up into my face, very focused, then stood up, quite reluctantly, then bowed to me. My eyebrows rose, as he strode away, in a rather hurry. I sat in the chair for a few minutes, wondering what had just happened, and then I sneezed, for I thought I smelt blood...
