• The monarch keeps his troops at bay.
A fitting set to fight away.
    His enemies of pearly white
who seek to overthrow the night.
They face each other shoulders squared
and fight with valour, neatly paired.
A war like this the world will see,
for is it you, or is it me?
Who sets the wheels of war ablaze,
and sets them up to take the maze
that no walls divide the path,
(eyes on the foe, it fuels your wrath).
And with the word, the god of day
begins the night to send away.
The troops that never find their rest,
in this little game of chess.
