• He acts so cool, collected, unshaken

Laughs at the jokes, yet his joy is long taken

Trapped in a fog, sees clearly no more

Can't see a way out, can't open the door.

Crying for help, only way he knows how

Nobody hears him, so he makes a vow

To stop the pain, all on his own

Pull the trigger, douse the life that once shone

A joke to so many, so distant to them

Tease everybody, make their souls dim

It's not about fun, but it is about pain

Agony enough to drive one insane

Still no one listens, still no one hears

They don't see the mask-covered tears

Lost in the dark of eternal night

Trapped and alone, plagued by fright

No one to lean on, no one to care

Caught and dying in the snare

Going home she finds an escape

When morning comes, a new victim of rape

All around people think its just play

Life isn't all fun, isn't always bright as day.

    Death exists, depression as well,

There are bad people, and those in a shell

Some are hurting and need us to care

But that is unusual in this world so unfair

We have to reach out from our walls

Let go of the traditions of these cruel halls

It isn't a joke when it happens to you

So hold out your hand, help someone through

This is the truth in a world of strife

No sugar-coating, this is real life.
