Under a Willow tree,
I watched as people passed by me.
With my arms folded gently,
I sit here patiently.
Under the Willow leaves,
My heart still grieves.
For my father who isn't with me,
My father who I miss so desperately.
Sitting beside the Willow bark,
I stay up well past dark.
In this quiet, dim-lit park,
This old town's only landmark.
Under the Willow tree,
I grieve your loss
And wish you were with me.
My heart beats more rapidly,
When I think of your face
Smiling wide at me.

Description:
This is just a freeform; I wrote as I went along. In memory of my dad, who I will never stop missing. No one can fill the hole my heart had for him. If you are going through this, just know that life will never be the same, and you will not heal wounds. You will have scars (emotional). But use them to make you stronger and appreciate what you do have. Don't hold back on telling people you love how much they mean to you.
I am always up for constructive criticism! Hope you enjoy! - Date: 06/09/2017
