- Description: This is a photo of Mount Manam, it's an active volcano for all intents and purpose in the middle of nowhere, it is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean on all sides and miles away from the closest land. Either way it was blowing out ash plumes as my ship sailed past it at a a fairly close distance, can't remember exactly how close, but close enough to coat the decks with ash and pumice.
