Two weeks off from school
The children play and cheer
For, the dreaded holidays are here
Adults panic, what to do!
Do I buy them gifts?
One or Two?
Rush to the mall
Already packed
The racks of toys and gifts
Are stacked.
Pull out their Christmas lists
Run through each store
Before all the gifts,
Are no more
Here comes the stress
Oh what a mess!
What will I do?
Oh dear, Oh dear!!
Finally done
It’s time to run
But there will surely be more
The day of Christmas comes around
Sit at the table with family
Open gifts
Cheery faces
Showing off the children’s braces
It’s finally done,
Christmas has past
But you begin to think
How will you survive the next one?
