• Dear Santa,
Please give me something nice; I've been good all year.
I stubbed my toe and didn't shed a single tear.
Oh and say hi to the elves for me,
and make sure they get a beautiful Christmas tree.
Mommy says she can't buy me no more stuff,
she says we are already poor enough.
Mommy says she wants a house,
and all she's wearing is a skirt and blouse.
Our cardboard box isn't very big,
and if I wanted food I would have to beg.
My Daddy is nowhere in sight,
Mommy says he just left one night.
So Santa get a house for the both of us,
because you are the only one that I actually trust.
Santa forget about my toys and games,
get Mommy a house that has windows with frames.
    -Love,
    Emily Moore

    P.S.
Don't tell this to Mommy but if you have time can you get me a toy?
Preferably one that isn't for boys.
