Drifting away, toward the faraway clouds of fantasy,
Prancing in a field of white hued petals,
Oh how I love the heavenly scents that beckon
Away from the perpetual gray of reality.
Underneath the angelic lights that gloriously glitter the sky,
Besides the serene depths of aquamarine waves,
I lie watching the romantic landscape
As it seduces the supernatural.
Standing in the midst of an ominous silver shroud,
The alluringly pale figure emerges with his ebony crimson cape,
And mesmerizing sapphire orbs, flashes his sharp alabaster canines.
And I, fallen prey to this seductive evil, is embraced by this dark figure.
I shivered. He whispered. "Let us dance, my beautiful midnight angel."
And mystically we swirled and twirled, and danced we did.
Among this moonlit atmosphere of undreamed perfection,
Streams of raven shadows intertwined with his kiss of passion.
The wind blew still, and the stars evanesced;
The images, black. The silent dancer, gone.
Oh how I wished for the Dark Trick(1), to see again those fantastical images.
Forever a slave to my dream, this lingering, otherworldly dream...

Footnote:
(1) allusion to Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles series, the Dark Trick refers to the making of others into vampires.

- Description: To be honest, I wrote this a couple years ago, but I didn't have it published, so I thought I should try entering it. It describes a supernatural dream, depicting a fantasy of meeting a vampire. And no it doesn't have to do with the recent popularity of Twilight; as the footnote mentions, it is inspired by the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. Well, hope you guys like it. ^^
