As the pale winter turns to stone
the cold angels sing lullabies to break our dark nights.
And we free our fears and our haunting ghosts
to no more tempting mourn.
(so let it fall...)
For now, hopes and dreams our smile they kiss
for no loneliness, angst or poisoning thoughts wander through our minds.
And those we loved and lost and miss
are kept in a safe secret warm place behind.
(so let it be lost... but not forgotten.)
And we walk, sleepless and restless, through the streets,
and all is light, color, sound, mending our broken hearts and eyes
You can blame it on this sweet tender season
when all the leaves have fallen and dusty clouds arise.
(and let it be repaired...).
We breathe, we live, we feel,
cinnamon and sugar tickling the skin of our souls,
for deep sorrows and wraths in this day lies in ashes
and winter is an enchanted place that has let you become spellbound.
So let it be awaken, silently
or by the soft echoes of ethereal voices,
for such beautiful happiness should be kept
(cold angels watching over it)♥
