I’m so excited! I thought to myself. It’s been so long since I’ve seen her! I can’t believe we get to spent 7 whole days together! And after 20 minutes of anticipation, her cab finally pulled up to the house.
I ran out the door and ran up and hugged her just as she stepped out of the bright orange cab. “I missed you so much!” she said. “I missed you too, Auntie!” then I grabbed her bag and led her inside the house.
“Where is everyone?” she asked, looking around the room attentively. “In the living room!” I replied cheerfully.
I walked her to the living room and went to the guest room to put her bags away while she was greeting everyone. Then I walked back to the living room and sat down to watch a movie.
My aunt put in A Bugs Life and disappeared to her room and came back with 3 little boxes wrapped in silver paper and a blue bow on each. In the middle of each bow was a little silver crescent moon.
I opened the presents, thanked her, and gave her a big hug. Then she went to throw the boxes away, and stopped. She took the little silver moons off the bows and put them in my hands. Then she said, “Keep these until you die. Pass them down through the generations just as I have so they never die. They are 300 years old and made of real silver. They represent spirit. As long as these are passed down, there will always be spirit in the world.” I closed my hand and held them tightly.
We sat down and finished the movie, but then I had to go to bed. So I got up, brushed my teeth, took a bath, and went to bed, knowing I would have a fun day with my aunt when I awoke.
The next morning when I awoke, I went to the guest room to awaken my aunt, but when I opened the door, she wasn’t moving. The kind old woman had passed in her sleep.
That night I got ready for bed and my mother tucked me in, but I couldn’t sleep. I was so tired but I could hardly even close my eyes. So I got up, turned on the light, and found the little silver crescent moons. Then I turned off the lights and lied back down in bed, holding the little silver moons tightly in my hands, and thought about my promise to my aunt.
I fell asleep and dreamt I was playing in the sand box. Then my aunt walked up to me, picked me up, and hugged me tightly while I held the little silver crescent moons in my hand.

- I don't know if you did it intentionally, or not, but you spelled crescent wrong...yeah...but otherwise, I liked it. It's still a little rough, but has great potential smile

- The story is nice but the text itself contains many unnecessary stuff ("I brushed my teeth", etc) and also needs more feeling; her aunt dies in her sleep, so she's supposed to have a reaction. Nice story anyways wink
