• I finally get home from school around 3:40. The door was thankfully unlocked when I arrived to my apartment number. I walked in and looked to my right to see Mom playing on her Xbox 360. She looked back at me and smiled.

    "Hey, kiddo. How was school?"

    I smiled back and went to lock the door. "It was fine for a Friday. How's your calf? Was it bothering you today?"

    "Yeah, it was bugging me a little, but it's much better," she raises an eyebrow slightly, "Is Le still coming over tomorrow?"

    "Yeah, he still plans to," when I said that, my mom looked over at me with probably the most serious expression I have ever seen her have.

    "BEHAVE," she reminded me for the hundredth time this week.

    "We will, Mom; you have nothing to worry about," I try to reason with her about Le, but she barely makes eye contact with me, and just pays attention to her game. I shove my hands into my pockets, and head to my room.

    Jaz? U there?

    I look at my phone when I hear the vibration. Yea. I'm here, le.

    K. I nvr got a reply.

    I check my messages and saw that I did get a message from Le, but didn't reply. Srry. Just got done talking 2 my mom. I didn't feel my phone in my hoodie.

    It's oki hun. Wat did ur mom say?

    She reminded me to behave 2morrow. How long do u think it'll take for her 2 trust and accept us?

    I don't care how long it takes. Hell, i don't rlly care if she ever trusts me. I love u & no matter wat, i want 2 b with u.

    Oh le...     How could someone so great care for someone like me?

    And, as if he read my mind, he sent: I do love u. For many reasons. U saved me from the abyss i was falling into. U stayed with me despite the obstacles. U rlly r a great person jaz.

    We kept texting each other until the end of the night, talking about what we want to do when he comes over. And even random things like the future or learning more of our favorite things. When I told him goodnight, he sent me a text kiss and said he couldn't wait to see me. I told him the same, and couldn't help but smile when he sent me the kiss.
