• Part 1: The Beginning
One afternoon in the Conto Region of Japan, the people outside went along their day like there was nothing new, nothing exciting, and nothing worth noticing. However, one girl did know something was happening. This girl was asleep in her hotel room. She had been tossing and turning all night. She was haunted by this recurring nightmare. In this nightmare she saw a boy who obtains an incredible power. He takes that power and uses it to try to be a god. She’s been woken up by this dream every night for the past month. Today she was able to fall asleep and not dream at about 6 in the morning. Now she’s beginning to stir. She turns over onto her back and throws off the sheets. She opens her bright blue eyes and takes in her surroundings. It was the same hotel room that she has been staying in for the past 2 months. Bed with white sheets against one wall, bedside table with a lamp and tons of used tissues on it, a trashcan overflowing with crumples up papers, and a dresser with a mirror on top. She wasn’t sure why but she knew that today wasn’t any day. Something was going to happen. She got up and slipped into her robe. She pulls back her perfectly spiraled blonde hair that went down to her shoulders. Her hair never seemed to get messed up, so she never worried about it. She stretched out her arms and back and walked to the window. She pulled back the curtains and looked down at the busy street. There didn’t seem to be anything unusual. There were cars flying down the street. There were people walking down the sidewalk. Even the school across the street looked the same. The kids were just getting out of school for the day. She was watching these two girls running around when she saw it. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a black notebook fall from the sky and land in the school yard. No one had dropped it out the second story window. She looked up at the sky but there didn’t seem to be anything there. She focused on the note book and could make out some writing on the front. “It says…Death No…Oh no! I have to go get it,” but she was too late. There was a boy that had seen it. He walked over and picked it up. The girl’s heart stopped. She didn’t know what to do. If that note book made it’s way into the wrong hands, it could spell disaster. She saw him put the notebook down. She sighed with relief, but it wouldn’t last. A few seconds later the boy picked up the notebook again. This time he did not put it down. Horror stole through the girl. Her nightmare was coming true.
