• In a deep sleep, an alarm clock sounds out loudly, waking Angel from his long and resting slumber. The bright sun shines through the small crevasses of his dirty white blinds hanging in front of his window. Rolling over, he blocks the sun light from his eyes, the sun slowly creeping out from its hiding place beyond the mountain ridge. The continuous of his clock echo's out of his room, to wake up everyone that is asleep. With a quick movement, he turns and slams his fist down on the snooze button on his clock, but in doing so broke the frame of his clock. With a hard sigh, he notices what he did pushing his alarm clock off the desk.

The door of his room opens, stepping in is his adoptive mother looking at him.
"again?" she says with a sure tone her voice.
With another sigh, he rests his hand on his head sitting up in bed. "Yes..again"
With a slight giggle, Rose steps in more with a hamper held to her side."How many does that make this month...3..4 of them?"
Angel laughs, looking over to her. "Yeah i think its really 6." They both burst out laughing as Angel gets out of bed.
"Ready for your first day of school?" She says, walking around, picking up dirty clothes. "Well not really..I'm a bit nervous" He says with a very unsure tone.
With a smile, Rose turns to him. "Well why not go downstairs, and i will make you some pancakes?" His eyes widen looking to her, "You mean you will make your amazing Pancakes!?!" She giggles, nodding.

Quickly, Angel takes off getting ready for school, Taking a shower, brushing his teeth and throwing on some clothes. Wearing a Black t-shirt with the logo of his favorite bandMetallica on it, Blue faded jeans, and black steal toed boots. He Spikes his thick black hair back, his deep blue eyes take details of his look, fixing anything he sees wrong with his hair and outfit. Like a shot he runs down stairs, almost tripping over his own feet on the way down.

Rose looks over in time to see him stumble to the dinning room table. He sits down eager and hungry for the pancakes he will soon receive. He takes his fork in hand and readies himself for what he calls, a feast. A large stack of pancakes is set in front of him, smothered in maple syrup, with a slice of butter on the very top of the stack. Two minutes later he finishes his breakfast, leaving not a crumb or a drop of syrup on the plate.
"You always eat so fast...you should take your time eating you know." Rose says, taking the plate away.
"But mom, I don't want to lose the wonderful tastes of your heavenly pancakes. If I keep them situating here, the taste of them will start to vanish." Rose shakes his head, "That is not an excuse Angel, You can get sick if you eat so fast."
He rolls his eyes, grabbing his back pack off the coat hanger. "I"m going to be late for school you know."
"Oh so changing subjects again i see." Laughing, she grabs her keys and heads out the door, Angel close behind her.

The sun much brighter then angel thought, being blinded for a moment.
"You know, You should really go outside more often. I don't see you out much."
Angel shoots a look at her.
"I would love to...but there isn't anything out here to do."
    "Not an excuse Angel."
With a grunt of frustration, he runs down the path getting into the back of there Red Compact.
Stepping around the car, she gets inside looking over to him. "You know, you didn't have to do that."
"Whatever mom." resting his forehead on the window, he keeps his eyes fixed to what is outside. With the turn of a silver key, the engine turns it roars out loudly taking off down the street. With a sigh, he looks to Rose in the corner of his eye, "Mom...why do i have to go to school?"
"Its cause you need to get an education."
"But why can't you teach me?"
"Angel, that is not how it works, you are going to go to school and that is final."
He keeps quiet, looking back out the window watching the oak tree's pass by the car. Angel already knows that it's impossible to win a argument with her. Ever since sheadopted him, rose watched him like a hawk. Angel never minded it though, but he never really did things he wanted which he made him aggravated. But that is how life is, and to him its just a pain.

"We are getting closer to the school." She says happily, hoping it would bring up his spirit. "Yay for me." He said with a sarcastic tone and gesture.
" What is with you angel?" She says with a worried tone, looking into the rear view mirror. His eyes shoot down, taking a deep breath, looking at her. "I'm sorry mom...I'm just a bit scared."
"I know that you are angel, but you have to do this....do it for me okay." She turns her head giving him a bright smile.
Angel couldn't help it but smile as well. Her smile always makes him feel joy and also makes him smile.
Smiling, he speaks with a much happier tone, "Okay mom. I will try my best."
Her eyes look back to the road, spotting the school in her sight. "WE'RE HERE!!!!" she yells with excitement, stopping behind a orange yellow school buss, seeing kid after kid pile out of the bus.

Angel steps out of the car, throwing his pack on his back, walking down the path towards his school. With a quick turn he waves. "Bye mom!! You take care okay!?!"
The window rolls down, Rose waves back. "I will Angel!! BYE!!!" She yells out to him driving off down the roadway. He turns back toward the school, looking up upon the building. The school seam to have bin there for a very long time. The white paint has faded in some parts of the building, being three stories tall with windows all around the it. The front of the school has a beautiful green lawn. Large rectangular bushes line down the front of the school, a fence lining in the middle of them.

His eyes set forth of what lies ahead of him. A feel of uncertainty fills his mind, not sure if he will fit in with this path that was given to him. With a deep breath he says to himself, "Well...time to see what lies ahead." With a laugh, he heads out down the concrete pathway toward the school. His first day of school will soon be something to remember.
