• The world expects you to be ready for it by the time education comes to a stop, lately, I wish the world was ready for people like me.
I tug my sleeves over my arms. By the time I head into the hallway, my head explodes like an atomic bomb: school. It seems like a sickly word for novices and monks who thought children were haloed angels. School just sounds like an equivalent of a prison and yet people believe it is prison. I turn down the fifth alley of doors. My school doesn’t look just like a prison, it’s a mental institution. It’s the home of drug-crazed stoners and skaters, air-holed girls who spend half their parent’s paycheck on places like Aeropostale and Hollister, mindless fresh meat scurrying to join a clan. If being in a clan makes your popularity matter, why the ******** would you join? So long were the days of Rugrats and The Angry Beavers. Now its music sensations like Justin Beiber and television shows like 16 And Pregnant. Sooner of later Justin Beiber will be like former teen sensation Brittney Spears, a ten pop idol from the late ‘90s who now has two b*****d children and combines her school-song days about giving blowjobs to boys to giving men any type of sexual job because her sales are going down the toilet.

I scramble back into my classroom as other kids look at me like I’m Beetle juice or any other film character of Tim Burton’s creation. It almost seems like every time you open the door, you expect the Riddler to welcome you back from hell. Behind curtain number one it’s…not an important kid you would like to hear about.
When the bell rang, a fight was about in the cafeteria. If you want action, welcome to hell with a capital “H”. You pick a fight, everyone flips out their iPhone. I told you my High School was a mental institution. Asylum High (my special codename for the rumor nuthouse) is known for its A+ in drama. If you think of drama as in costumes and scripts then that’s not what I’m talking about. The drama we specialize in is called: rumors, gossip, etc. In science this is known as a chain reaction, get one white lie going and there are others following the same path. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just watch Easy A, you’ll get my point.
The kids at my school are always idiots; somehow I got infected with their madness the minute I arrived. The weight-heads think its fun to have their friends come up to my gum-slop desk and try to flirt with me. I look over to their leader and I see the rest of them snickering, I figure out it’s a joke and tell them to blow me in French and don’t tell them what it means. Sometimes they would throw paper balls at the back of my head because according to them, I’m completely a**l-retentive. Mall-haired, ******** girls would pull me into their little circle of gossip conversation because they think I’m lonely. Usually I try to hide or mantra myself to invisibility because when they get bored they play a game called pick on the Goth/Emo/bitchy, a**-white newcomer in their group. I always think of Mean Girls when they crowd around me asking question like “Is your ex-boyfriend single?” “What size is his d**k?” “Do you ever go to the mall for shopping?” All I say is, “I’m uncomfortable talking about this”. I’m a kid from two parents who don’t want me to become a juvenile a*****e unless the dad is a workaholic engineer and the mom always thinks of spend, spend, spend. Yeah, I’m created from a mother who was a former decorator and a dad who complains I don’t have the balls to know about cars and should’ve praised higher for sons.

This is High School, you’re here for what seems like eternity and people use it for so many bullshit reasons. For me, High School is mental prison and when you use freedom of speech, you know what steps in, COMMUNISTS! Communists run the whole show. Of course freedom of speech is necessary but it’s forbidden where I go for education. Welcome to hell where you’ll only learn about sexuality, sex, and more occasional teen mom run of the mill crap. Here guys are either egomaniacs or complete stoners and girls are either family starters or domestic abused bitches. I am not a family starter or a b***h; I’m just a girl who can’t fit into anything that seems like me.
