• "You promise?" She breathed as she laid her head on Josh's shoulder. "I promise." He murmured. He held her hand, and they were sitting on the school bench. "I love you so much Josh..." She murmured. "Me too." He smiled, and kissed her softly.

    Three Years later...

Lilith heard the bell ring. It was shrill and loud, and she smiled. She was going to meet her boy-friend, Josh, in the court-yard. As she was dismissed by her teacher, she padded through the hallways, thinking, Only one more week of school left... Then, it'll be Collage! Not to mention my boring part-time job... Lilith sighed, and she saw couples all around her hugging, kissing, and crying. She felt a pang in her heart. She would be with Josh forever. They would make a great couple, and they were going to the same Collage! Chances, huh?

As Lilith padded in the courtyard, she saw Josh sitting on a bench, with another girl beside her. They were smiling and laughing. When Lilith walked in front of them, she saw a flicker of a emotion in his eyes. The emotion, she didn't capture. He smiled and he hugged her gently. "Lilith, this is Akemi, she's a friend of mine. Akemi, this is my girlfriend, Lilith." When he introduced Akemi to Lilith, Lilith saw that Akemi had narrowed her eyes in a... An angry way. But, it lasted for a second before she said a gentle, "Hello Lilith." Josh then said, "I'll see you later Akemi." He nodded to her, and he shook her hand in a diplomatic way. But, for some reason, they stood shaking their hands for some time, before they finished. Lilith shuffled her feet, feeling... Strange. Akemi had her hands in a fist, and she walked away. "So Josh, what are we going to do today?" She asked as she hugged him. Josh replied flatly, "Oh... Nothing at the moment. I've homework to do. I'll call you later." With that, he walked away. Lilith returned home, flustered. Homework? There wasn't any homework in the last week of school! And, who was that girl? Really? And, what happened while she was gone for just a few seconds after the bell? Lilith ignored the voice in her head, telling her that Josh was cheating on her. No! She thought fiercely. If he was, then Akemi wouldn't allow that. But, sadness and depression peirced her heart as she thought about it. They've been through so much, confessed their love... Or was it love? The voice spoke softly.

The next morning, Lilith was walking alone, down the streets. She had her hands in her pockets, and her calm blue eyes were looking down on the streets. Lilith heard the sound of people walking, but she didn't see anything. She shrugged it off. Nothing to worry about. So, she kept on. But, as she heard the steps growing nearer, she grew nervous, and started to power walk. Then, to the point where she was running down the allies and streets. The footsteps grew louder as well. Lilith ran, feeling the ground thrum with footsteps, and she gasped in fear at the thought of being faced with who-ever was chasing her. She veered around a bend, and dove for the garbage cans. Hidden, she looked over her shoulder. She held her trembling breath, and saw a gang. About five men, in their early thirty's. They wore black leather, and they had guns in their belts.

One of them, a tall, muscled man with black hair, padded towards the ally. It was a dead end, and he knew something was up. "Little girl? Oh, little girl? Don't worry, don't hide from us. We're only trying to help you. Your parents want us to pick you up. They are in an accident, and want you to go home." He walked around, scanning the area.Lilith bit her lip, trembling. It wasn't true! These men, were trying to get her. Abuse her. She knew it.

Praying to God, she huddled deeper in the trash. Just then, the man approached her. He looked over the garbage, and he snarled, "Girl can't be far away. Guys, spread out." He swerved his head to two skinny men. "Josh and Duke, head in that direction, you others, head in that direction." He waved his finger back and forth. "I'll stay here." As they left, he darted his hand in the garbage, gripping Lilith by the arm. Stifling a scream, he picked her up and he threw her to the floor. "Well, well, well. If it isn't little princess here. I knew you were there all along, but my guys didn't know that, did they? I want you all to myself... Only, to myself." He murmured as he hovered over her. His eyes were full of hunger as he checked her out. Lilith hissed, "Never. I'm taken." The man laughed. "Please, I don't care." With that, he grabbed her, and he put her on his motorcycle. "If you scream, you die." Then, he drove away, with Lilith. Lilith felt tears stream down her cheeks.
