Half remembered
Flights of fancy
Forgotten dreams
We'll never know
Walk quickly
But step softly
This place belongs to yesterday
We're in the realm of long ago
Ringing with peals
Of age old laughter
Come sing a tune of long ago
Come sing a song you'll never know
Careful
If you turn too fast
You'll see into the distant past
If you turn and do just that
With a swish of a skirt
Or a tip of a hat
They'll disappear
You'll never be sure
That they were even here

- Title: The Realm of Long Ago
- Artist: queenofinsanity6
- Description: There are ghost towns all over the world, places where everyone just... left. Whether engulfed in lava, swamped by floodwaters, or just left behind, to go to one of these places is to go into a place where the past still reigns...

- I really love this poem! I can't even explain why, but it evokes really amazing images and sounds so good. Maybe I just love the idea of ancient, forgotten history, what is there but might not be at the same time... Makes me thoughtful. Five stars and I'm adding it to my favorites list!
