The sun beats down on a sparkling field
the wind, it blows by so calming
another human crop the land doth yield
in its sickness is somewhat charming
Into the world and into the void
stumbles across a glass hall
blindly playing with his childish toys
ignoring reflections and destined to fall
Holding on tight to the past stings
But as worlds change so do souls
giving up the naive playthings
using speculation to fill the holes
Always questioning why
the clouds pass along with the days
every spiritual tear he could never cry
just gets lost in the circling haze
As he is getting ready to quit
his ears tighten and challenge belief
a voice calling out, surely he remembers it
one true friend has come to give relief
This beautiful flower is love's serenade
singing a majestic tune of nostalgic mist
helping him forget past mistakes he had made
such a wonderful song sounds like this:
Dear sweet child so close to my heart
don't walk away from me now
have hope, your life is only at its start
I want to help you, but how?
You don't let me in
and push me aside
for your feelings I'll always defend
I'm not just along for the ride
I long to touch, dream to hold you
forever in the warmth of my arms
In life true emotions, there are so few
But, I will always shelter you from harm!
Divine angel the ally in robes of gold
comforts him, says this is where he does belong
she promises loving futures of old
but her words aren't that strong!
trepidation washes the smiles away
his fears, oh they hinder his joy
holding it all at bay
His inner demons whisper to the boy , they say:
You're trying to find the answers
why is it that you seek?
you've sat and watched the dancers
but you're afraid, timid, and weak!
Never making your move
or taking a chance
you're bound to lose
yon child of circumstance
These ideas that fly through your mind
yes, we know the truth,
tell me boy, what happens when you find
There's nothing here, nothing, nothing for you!
You've lost now, poor delusional boy
give up this game and crawl back in the womb
recover all those childhood toys
before the life you have dug becomes your tomb!
Wracked with mental anguish
the child is alone
the demons he could not vanquish
and is dragged down by the stone
Crimson clasp the dark choker of pain
strangling tight with no solid ground
free falling into oblivion to remain
screaming, but no one's around
No single human, contact is dead
isolated from life, he is lonely
Except for the devils and saints in his head
may the angels win this battle, if only
Screeching war cries that shatter his spirit
but wasn't it already broken?
a millions metaphorical death knells, he hears it
mental skeletal corpse a final token
The climactic battle rages for years
there is no right or wrong, anymore
a pairing of both hope and of fear
forgotten what they were fighting for
And the last survivor
this simple little kid,
steps out from the ash
and knows what he did
Lacking any hand to hold
he begins to cry
his physical body is now fractured and old
and he will probably die
Not without one final speech
from himself and the judge
gathered at the sanity breach
a hate filled, self loathing grudge
This dark assembly in celestial Reich,
marching to only one tune
lying in silence and waiting to strike
the end will be coming soon
But, all these beings are one and the same
all his anger relinquished or unfurled
just a sad child trying to cast blame
for any of the hurt he ever endured
Reliving all the experiences of long ago
searching for the reason
coming up with nothing
for such unforgivable treason
A faint selection of memories
appears before his eyes
startled he asks "Was it always me?"
and begins to see through the lies
The false ideas and twisted hopes
that he'd followed through for years
being hanged with metaphysical rope
he crafted his own fears
Finally realizing the source of his depression
by one culprit this havoc did wreak
it is time to put and end to this session
He opens his mouth for a last chance to speak:
It was me, I'm to blame
all the torture I leak
I'd bow my head in shame
if I wasn't so weak!
Start shaking uncontrollably
I apologize but you aren't here to know
you were always there for me
why did you have to go?
But only one fool can be punished for this
That is myself, you see
the full penalty for such a crime
is to be alone for eternity!
The sentence is then carried out
upon the helpless emotional cripple
takes it all with nary a shout
hopelessness the spiteful ripple
And with that, his body dies
but the mind is left to suffer
for his loss, nobody cries
it was his fault and no other
The moon hammers down upon the cremation field
the wind doesn't blow, anymore
another human tragedy life must yield
killing itself to settle the score.

This is a truly beautiful poem. The imagery is amazing, to say the least.
Everything about it is stunning. Too awesome for words. - Report As Spam
