• 1st Verse
I’ve been fighting for a purpose.
For a chance to feel alright.
I keep trying to adjust me
So the judge will weigh my side.
But as heavy as my sin tonight.
I fear I’ll never make it right.
I am trying here, or not, I cannot know…

    2nd Verse
And I start to speak in poems.
I begin to feel the night.
As the brisk cold wind cuts through me
    I huddle up inside.
And when He seems so far away.
    I’m ready to surrender this.
I’m not worth it, or so I think. Can I know?

    Chorus
Oh, if we cannot live on faith alone.
That God forgives us where we are.
Each day I jump but He catches my fall!
And in His arms I weep alone.

    3rd Verse
All the red that rest in my hands
All the nets that hold my heart
All the bodies that constrict me
From the truth I bear inside.
And although I feel I’ve reached the end
My faith is cornered, pinned, and bent
I hear a voice that whispers on the wind.

Ya know, know that you were born this way
You don’t have to live this way
You don’t have to die this way (x3)

Ya know, know that you were born this way
You don’t have to live this way
    You don’t have to die!
