-
The rain put out your cigarette,
one less drag to bring you closer.
The smell of his cologne still lingers on your pillows,
you just bury your head in them.
The tears flow effortlessly,
each drop reflects a memory of a smile.
In fear of a thief.
You pray to god that your best is good enough,
and before you sleep you feel relief.
You spend all day feeling pity for those alone,
when your alone yourself.
Weighed down by your guilt,
the days drag by slower.
The cancer of word frightens you,
and the pale truth painted in a lie,
a broken promice,
a belated call adds to the fear.
You hope an upcoming loss breaks
a little smoother than the last.
An easier recovery.
But before you get down,
he proves your paranoia wrong.
I know its right,
if it wasnt it wouldnt hurt so much.
I wont lose you to a monster!
Ill battle to the death!
For all i know its worth the world.
