And maybe pants with pockets big enough to hold it comfortably. First time I go running? jogging? walking? on the trail, I see a whole family of wild turkeys, and this afternoon I felt like romping along the dried creekbed and get sledgehammered with the prettiness of the woods.
That's a complete hyperbole, but it did make me want to take a panorama shot. Forest, forest, forest, whoa houses? Would have kept hanging out on that bridge of a tree limb, but I saw something that kinda spooked me. Five widely spaced vertical lines unneatly carved into it, with the outer ones lower than the middle. Ended up being much wider than my handspan, and that's not just cuz I have daintly little fingers that can hardly do an octave on the piano. </3
Don't think there's wolves in the area, if anything, there's coyotes that live more in the fields, or hills. Deer horns don't make those kind of marks, and it wouldn't make sense to have them try and mark a trunk laying across the creek. And we got puma/cougar (are they the same thing?) warnings the last couple of summers, little leaflets sent out on what to do if you ran into one. I didn't get any symptoms of straight-up scurred going, but somehow, sitting and listening to the jays wasn't as much fun anymore. And my feet were getting really hot.
Time to rinse that sun and nature off.
