I know, I'm late xd . Sorry about that. Anyway, here's the recap:
Ace meets Alraune, the mysterious apprentice of the previous guardian of darkness. She tells Ace about Negative Zero, the twisted guardian of light who wished to take his revenge against the universe. Enraged at this, Ace starts up the ship and flies into space, unaware of his next destination. And now for the next entry.

"The Predecessor"

So here I was, flying into space. Then it hit me: I didn't even know where I was going! Feeling like a fool, I stopped the ship after we exited the atmosphere. We orbited around the planet as I began to ask Alraune a few questions. "Ok, so what was the last guardian of darkness like?" She took a breath. I could tell this was gonna be long. She started with his past. He'd been much like Negative Zero, having been a prodigy at a young age. But he was poor and Negative Zero was rich. The boy liked to call himself "The Black Knight" because he always stood up for people like a knight. He even refused to be taken to a better school because he wanted to be like everyone else. Eventually he was chosen to be a guardian. Due to his background, he was given the title of guardian of darkness. Everyone he knew didn't find it fair, but he himself decided to make the best of it. A few years had passed since he had been elected and Alraune had already been chosen as an apprentice. That's when Negative Zero was elected as the new guardian of light. Then trouble started brewing, and people said it was the black knight's fault. So to clear his name, he set out on a journey, vanquishing the Demonix wherever he went. Then one day there was an ambush. Alraune had been with him. Caring not for his own safety, he sacrificed himself to save her. With his dying breath, he made her swear to help the next guardian. He also told her that she would know who he is simply by their name. That part got to me. It would explain why I had introduced myself as "Ace The Black". The Black Knight must have given me that name. Having heard all of this, I felt more determined than ever to stop Negative Zero and cleanse the Black Knight's name. Of course, I still needed a destination. I asked Alraune about it. "Step aside." she said, as she moved me out of the chair. She punched in a few coordinates, and off we were.
