After minutes of their staring contest, Itsuki finally caught up followed by a gang of soldiers. As the soldiers attacked, the three split up to fight. As the last soldier was running off, Itsuki looked at Yori, as if waiting for an order. Yori lowered his blade and took a deep breath.
Itsuki and Yuki got ready for a battle, but Yori put his blade away. Surprised Isuki started to complain, but Yori raised his hand. All became silent as the three waited and watched. They were watching for signs from the others. Signs explaining or change the situation.
"In all these years, you haven't changed a bit," said Yori.
"I can say the same about you, Yori. Still the hotshot, I see."
"What? You know each other?" asked a confused Itsuki.
"He would have been the squad leader if he hadn't left."
"Squad leader? You guys met at the Academy?"
"Yeah, she was my tactics tutor. And I was her... sword tutor. So where is the squad?"
"Sue became an assistant to Captain Raphael. Fred is the tank of Trips' unit. And I ended up as a unit trainer for tractions."
"A trainer? What are you doing out here?"
"I was sent on a recon mission with a small group of trainees."
"You were sent out? What were they thinking? Trainees can't..."
"Well, Miss Danielle thought it would be a good exercise for the group. Some of the attacks were planed."
"Yes, but not all of them. Still what about the front line? Where are they now?"
"The front line was not as close when we started. She clamed it would not move for at least another day. As far as where my trainees are, you'll have to prove worthy of that intell."
"What? You must be hiding something good to say that."
