short stories
I plan to think of ideas for writing/typing a story. My stories will include fiction and if I work hard enough, I may write an entire story.
chapter 1 Are you in?
As Methodios walked through town, he glanced from side to side, searching for the tavern he planned to meet his friend at. His search took him to a tavern called the dark dragon, his least favorite place to be but this meeting was too important to miss. He sat in a far corner and slowly scanned the room, not seeing much he went back to what he recieved the day before. It was a note he clutched in his hand, this note told him to meet at this tavern after sundown today.

He was a warrior, but unlike other warriors that worked for a king, he worked by doing tasks from townspeople. He wore light brown armor and had a broad sword by his side. His hair was black and he had blue eyes that were constantly scanning the room for his friend. Standing at about 6 feet tall, he worked in the army ever since he was a boy, and he left the army after he was the only survivor in a terrible battle. He made money by doing simple tasks and he traveled the land that had not yet fallen under the empires control.

After waiting for 5 minutes, the door to the dark dragon slowly oppened, and a small man standing at only 5 feet walked slowly into the tavern. He wore a dark cloak to hide his face from others and appeared tired after walking for so long. He spotted Methodios and moved around tables to get to his table. Once he sat down Methodios could finally see his face, he had green eyes and dark brown hair that rested on his shoulders.

"It's about time" Methodios started, breaking the silence, "It's good to see you again my friend." Solon smiled and responded,
"It has, nearly 5 years have passed since that terrible battle." Methodios winced at the thought of that battle, it was not a subject he liked to bring up, mainly because he was the only survivor and he quit the army soon after.
"Yes well, what is it you had to tell me?" Methodios asked, narrowing his eyes while he spoke.
"Ah yes," Solon said, "I found out important information about the empire, and-"
"I told you that I am no longer interested in fighting the empire," he said, interrupting Solon, "That battle was going to be my last, I no longer wish to see death cross my path."

Solon fell quiet for a minute, then said, "I know it was hard for you after that battle, but things have changed and the empire is gaining more power as we speek, this rebellion will no longer last if we don't help." Solon waited for another minute so the words could sink in.
Methodios shouted, "What can we do to help, this is no game we are just two men going up against thousands!"
"Shhh!" Solon whispered while glancing at the nearby tables, luckily no one heard them. "I know this seems impossible but if we dont do something to help the world will be doomed!"
"But what can we do, we don't have an army that can match theirs, resisting will be suicide." Methodios said calmly.
"Ah" said Solon, "You think I came here just to discuss the war?"
"Well, no but-" stammered Methodios.
"I have enough information that will change the very outcome of this war, the real question is, are you in?" Solon asked, holding out his hand.
