Alone
Chapter 5
CRASH!
The earsplitting sound of breaking glass echoed through my ears as my hand turned the knob. My father had alread thrown an object, and I wasn't even inside!
"Father, or whoever you are, I'm home!" I yelled.
"Yeah, whatever. Your school phoned... I think..."
"Probably did. I'm suspended."
"You're what!" He yelled, having what I call a 'drunken moodswing.'
"You heard me." I snapped.
A quarter full beer bottle hurdled across the room.
SMACK!
Shattered pices of glass mixed in with beer fell to the floor. The stench of alcohol filled the room even more, even though it already was strong enough.
"Whatever dad. I'm hungry." I said, as I walked over to the fridge only to find it empty.
"ALEXIS! GET BACK OVer here...." He screamed, but said the end part even lower as his voice changed due to the effects of the alcohol. I rolled my eyes and left the house, off to get something to eat.
I stopped at a fast food chain and bought a cheap dinner to eat. I then went over to a park and ate in silence, not careing if anyone saw me. As soon as I finished, I tossed everything in the garbage and stared off to space.
My eyes started getting drowsy, and I figured it was a lack of sleep. I decided to close my eyes, for just a minute, but before I knew it I had drifted off to dream land...
