Alone
Chapter 7
The next day began. As my eyes shot open, I crawled out of bed and almost started getting ready for school, before I remembered I was suspended. Shrugging my shoulders, I got changed anyways and decided to take a walk.
I noticed my Father had already left. He was probably at a bar if he hadn't actually gone to work. Reaching the door handle, I noticed it was actually locked, so maybe he had gone to work. This had surprised me, but it didn't really affect me, 'cause he'd just end up blowing all that money on booze anyways.
Unlocking the door, I stepped out, and locked the door behind me. I walked toward a cafe I frequently visited, where I could buy something for breakfast. I checked my watch only to find it was near noon. I had woken up late, and had taken awhile getting ready, so it was no surprise it was this late.
As I entered the Cafe, I saw a few people I recognised from school. It was lunch break and the cafe was close to school, so I guessed they had gone there for lunch. I walked up to the counter and ordered.
Sitting down to eat, I heard a few people whispering about me. I rolled my eyes. Their act was getting tiring.
"Is this seat taken?" A voice asked, inturrupting my thoughts.
I looked up to see Ray staring at me, a tray in his hands.
"Does it look like someone's sitting there?" I snapped, my vicious tone vibrating from my lips."
Ray sat down, which annoyed me, alot. I liked to be alone, and he wasn't letting me do so.
"Remember, the offer to join my gang is still valid." He stated.
"And my answer is still no."
"Ah, but you'll get a reputation with us."
"If you haven't noticed, I have one." I replied, rolling my eyes.
"Ah, but my gang will make it more interesting."
"Stop lying, and why the hell do you need me in your gang?" I questioned, my tone not faulting.
"Because you would make the perfect member, and a pretty good girlfriend." He said, smirking.
"Stop kidding yourself, and please get your overinflated ego away from me."
"Hmm, like your attitude." He smiled, "Feel free to come join us." He replied.
"Yeah, whatever." I replied, finishing my food. I then left, and headed home.
As I reached my door, I noticed that we had mail. I reached in the mailbox and pulled out a letter adressed to me.
Heading inside, I shut the door behind me, and ripped open the letter. As my eyes scanned through the contents, they widened.
My Mother, who had left us for some guy, was coming to visit me tomorrow!
