Tonberry Epic (Working Title)
The story of a Kingdom thrown into chaos and ones tale of survival.
Chapter 1 - Elliot Vaeld
"The sun is setting..." Said a boy out loud. He was looking out his window on the second story of his home. He brushed his silvery hair out of his eyes with his hand. He looked back to hear his fathers voice call his name. He ran down the stairs to see what his father wanted him to do.

"Elliot, I need you to run to the well get us some water. We are running out. And do be careful, you know what happens on the trip."

"Yes father, I won't let what happened to Kael happen to me." He responded with obedience.

"Poor boy just disappeared..." Said Elliot's mother with a tone of sadness in her voice.

Elliot donned his black and red tunic and his sword and shield in case he was attacked by monsters. Things weren't the same since the king called all guards off duty. Death headlines had become more frequent without the people having proper protection from their own homes. Every now and then Elliot had to fend off some rabid wolves from hurting his family. He felt confident in his swordsmanship from his times training and fighting.

Elliot stepped out of his home to see that the sun was going down. He had to hurry all the way to the hill to get to the well. He turned the corner and greeted the blacksmith as he passed. The road became less and less visible as night grew closer. The villagers were turning on their outdoor lamps for the night. He was now walking up a steep hill, close to the well. The road trailed off from his sight. The sign next to the road read "To Valdenthar". Once or twice he and his family had to go there to sell some of their crops to the market.

Elliot thought he should go and visit some of his friends in Valdenthar. He set the bucket next to the well as he followed the road to Valdenthar. It was the only paved road he knew of. All the roads of his little village, Cheln, were made from dirt. The sun baked the dirt making it a nice white color. But Elliot liked the feel of the cobble paved road he walked on. He crossed the gate to Valdenthar and the night was drawing closer. He figured a friendly "Hello." would be enough for his friend, Felden, then he would be on his way back.

Elliot and Felden went to the same school since they were little. Since they both passed the age of sixteen, they both got out of school. Elliot stayed home to help his parents work, while Felden studied the magics. They have been good friends for years. Elliot doesn't understand why Felden has black hair and his is silver, like everyone else in his village. Elliot's parents never told him why, but he knows he'll find out in time.

Elliot knocked on Felden's door, and within a moment, his friend greeted him.

But they didn't know what was about to happen...

I can't really think of anything I can critique right now. I can't wait to see where this is going.
