Tonberry Epic (Working Title)
The story of a Kingdom thrown into chaos and ones tale of survival.
Chapter 3 - The Forest
Elliot tried to recollect his thought as he traveled through darkness of the forest. The moonlight was his only light. He had to tear off a part of his shirt to cover the still bleeding scar. He did his best to try to mend his wound, but he could still feel the sting. The pain was almost enough to stop him from escaping, but his will to survive drove him forward.

The trees stood tall as he passed by. The ground was covered with grass and spots of dirt revealed. He could hear the cry of nocturnal creatures through the trees. The forest was as alive as he had remembered hunting with his dad here. In the morning, animals would gather, the perfect moment to hunt deer. Elliot was remembering how proud he was when he killed his mark to feed his family. But, with no time for memories, Elliot moved on.

He pushed a bush out of his way to find himself entering a glade in the forest. The trees seemed to move out of the way to make the clearing. The clearing had rocks scattered throughout the land making it look like as if it were rough land. Elliot couldn't stop to rest here, for the King's men could still be searching for him.

He moved through another bush to attempt to escape the forest. Now it seemed there was no path to follow. Every direction he saw trailed off for what looked like miles. He had no compass to guide him. He only had his sword and shield he had grabbed during the attack. He started moving the way he was facing, only seeing the trees in front of him. A raccoon scurried hurriedly across in front of him. It must have gone to get food.

"Food..." thought Elliot, remembering how hungry he was since he ate nothing for a few hours now. He couldn't see anything he could hunt right now. Since he doesn't have his hunting bow with him, he can't attempt to scavenge for food.

He had to endure. Nothing to eat, nowhere to go, just running. Things were now getting desperate. Elliot could not continue. He had to make camp and rest. He could not risk lighting a fire in this situation. He just had to lay down, and try to sleep...

"What I am I supposed to do? Where am I supposed to go?" A surge of questions filled Elliot's mind. Questions that he could not answer. Only time will tell.

The moonlight was his only sight. He looked up wondering. He closed his eyes to rest... With that, Elliot drifted into a deep slumber, In great sorrow and confusion. He knows not what to do tomorrow, except one thing; Survive.
