Here's a good intro I guess.

Who I am
I'm Delta. I live in Oregon. I'm pretty easy going and am not a very serious guy most of the time.


My interests
I like weapons, war history, all things military for that matter, and technology in general. I also like music.

Music
I've got a somewhat broad taste in music. Somewhat clean humor like Weird Al to offensive humor like Bo Burnham. I like classical music even though I can't tell the difference between Chopin and Mozart. I don't know one composer from another, but that's fine with me. I like choir music. I tend to like electronic music like KMFDM. I like In Extremo which is metal that uses bagpipes and other old instruments. Sabaton with their war related lyrics are very nice. Rammstein is alright. I don't care for really really offensive lyrics, but I don't speak German so it doesn't bother me. I like stuff like Metallica and Queen. I don't listen to much jazz or blues music, but I do enjoy it. Music I don't like includes country music, rap in general, this new age gospel crap, good old fashioned Christmas music that has been butchered by idiots who can't sing, and a few other things here and there.

Instruments
I've got two harmonicas, but my hands are too big for me to use them very well. I learned out of a book for a couple days when I was a kid then just kinda stopped. I've been playing guitar for a little over 2 years, but I haven't been keeping in practice or trying to improve much so I'm not all that good. I hate trying to read sheet music. I know how to, but I'm bad at it. The most experience I have is in vocals. I was in a kids choir for about 3 years then in high school I had 5 years of choir. Junior year there were 2 choirs and I was in both of them. I sing somewhere between baritone and bass. Bass tends to get a little too low for me while baritone gets a little to high for me.

Politics
My friend Jack on facebook put his political views to "just don't be a d**k". It makes good sense.

I'm not affiliated with any party. I guess that makes me "Independent" but if I recall there's a party called the Independent Party. I probably relate more to Libertarianism. I believe in the Constitution, I like small government, I like the thought of people being in control of their lives being more self reliant and being accountable for their actions.



Religion
I believe in God and I believe Jesus died for our sins. Still I try to be open minded. I see a few Christians shoving their beliefs down peoples throats and it's obnoxious. I see a lot of atheists do it. I find it funny how so many atheists are angry at religious people for shoving their beliefs down peoples throats then they turn around and pic fights with religious people to try to prove there is no higher being. Now obviously not all of them do this. It's the ones who do it that bother me. My philosophy is that I will keep my beliefs to myself and I ask in return that others do the same.

My history on gaia
I've been on gaia since 2005. I was introduced by one of the more popular trolls of the General Discussion forum. Well he was popular back then anyway. Sophomore year in high school I grew a great interest in WWII history and more specifically Erwin Rommel who was one of Hitlers brightest generals. I made an account named Rommel_Desert_Fox in memory of the man, but I didn't use it. My main got a 14 day ban so I started using the Rommel account. I made new friends who were into WWII. I also sorta got dragged into the "neonazi" circle. I made friends, but didn't really fit in. Still with all the new friends I just decided to stick with the Rommel account. December 08 it got permanently banned so I made a new account Desert_Fox_Rommel. The WWII historians sorta went their separate ways, but I stuck with the username. November 2009 I got permanently banned again. I decided to become Das Rabble Rouser on this new account.
