A random collection of my thoughts
No coffee for you.
It seems people are wanting to boycott Starbucks for retarded reasons. I've never really been a Starbucks supporter. The place is loaded with hipsters and their prices are considerably higher than other coffee shops in the area with equal or greater quality coffee in the local shops. If I get a gift card I will go there, but I don't want to waste my money.

The first boycott I heard about started on Valentines day. Some anti gun movement called a boycott because the shops allow open and concealed carry rather than banning guns. Most states allow open carry where you can carry a gun in a holster out in the open. With a permit you can carry concealed meaning the gun is hidden on you. Store owners can make their stores gun free zones so all law abiding citizens must get rid of their guns to enter the store. Starbucks doesn't do that. If state and local laws say you can carry a weapon they say you can too. Actually very few stores seem to prohibit guns. The only gun free zones I can think of off hand are just government buildings. Anyway anti gun movement for whatever reason decided to target Starbucks. Word hasn't really gone around and not many people seem to be joining. I can kinda see why someone would boycott Starbucks for this reason. They are under the assumption that banning guns in Starbucks will make customers safer. I don't think banning guns from a store will stop criminals from using them, but if they want to believe that I can understand their feelings.

Apparently the second boycott which has gotten some attention lately is because the store supports gay rights. If the owner of a store supports gay marriage what's the big deal? Whether customers can carry a gun or not kinda affects the safety of the other customers so that boycott I can understand, but how is someones opinion of homosexuals affecting the customers of the store at all?

The prices at coffee shops are crazy! If I want a foamy coffee drink I'll put ice cream in the bottom of a mug and pour coffee over top.

$4 is about the price of a large mocha which is what I usually order from the local places. It's cheaper than Starbucks and better too.
