The Golden Joystick awards were announced recently and World of Tanks won best MMO. To show their generosity this whole weekend they offered 5X experience for the daily double meaning the first victory a tank achieves in a day normally gets double experience, but for the weekend it's 5X. On top of that everyone got promo codes for 3 days of premium membership giving a 50% money bonus and 50% exp bonus. That daily 5X bonus plus the 50% gives you 7.5X exp on a first victory.

8.0 came out a month ago with a major overhaul to the graphics and physics of the game. 8.1 is now out and British tanks are available. 8.2 is in the works. It's supposed to allow you to buy gold ammo for regular credits. For those who haven't played the game or read my beginner guide credits are in game currency you earn by playing the game. Gold is premium currency purchased with real money. Gold ammo is a type of super ammo that to this point could only be purchased with gold.

Over the weekend I've been working the artillery with my hummel. I finally researched the GW Panther which is my next vehicle. That makes my hummel elite meaning I can't research anymore modules though I can bulk up the crew training with the exp I earn.
