Like, I don't even know how to go about making friends on the INTERNET anymore. It's ridiculous, isn't it? The internet is so full of people, just go out and meet them!

But where..? Where the hell would I go to meet these people?

I used to have an easy time meeting people in chat rooms (which are dead, now) and in games.. but it's gotten so much harder. Maybe I'm just old and can't relate to the youngins anymore.. or maybe it's because I've become more reclusive, I don't know.

It's just making me sad. I think about all of the amazing people I've met online, and now the only people who are still around are people who I've known for a long long time. I don't know where I'd even go to start meeting people. I'm active on reddit, gamefaqs, and I'm even becoming more active on neogaf, but I haven't been able to build a 1 on 1 connection with anyone.

Back in the day you used to be able to easily have a conversation with anyone and you'd casually add eachother to whatever messenger you used, and tha'ts just how it went. You'd talk to eachother there, and form friendships. In chatrooms (which no one seems to use anymore) it was INCREDIBLY easy, and in MMO's it wasn't all that rough, if you really took advantage of the social aspects.

I'm not very social in MMO's these days, but it seems like no one is. I can't really find a central hub of people hanging out to talk to, everyone just seems wrapped up in their own business. Online, too; in forums, it seems that everyone is wrapped up in the "big picture" and getting someone on a personal level to connect with them is .. hard.

I don't know.
