I've decided on how the final character in my story. Her name is undecided, but she's an assassin who carries a hidden blade inside a large umbrella. The tip of the umbrella carries smoke in it for a quick retreat. Let me know if you think of a name. Anyway, I'm going to do the first new entry to this revised story.
"The beginning, and the rebirth"
(Remember, the story is in 1st person perspective)
I've always had things rough. I'm not able to chase after goals like becoming a pirate king or a master duelist. You see, the fate of the universe is in my hands. Let me start from the beginning. I'm Ace. I was an average high school student studying abroad in Japan. I have been back and forth between Japan and the U.S since I was five. I didn't fit in very well because I was considered much smarter than everybody else. Only a few people accepted me, and they were my closest friends. I really liked one of my friends, Amaru, but she didn't think of me that way. I could tell because she treats me like I'm family.
It was almost time for summer vacation. Everybody was in a great mood. But something wierd happened as school let out. I could see that the shadows were acting funny. Maybe because I've always been pretty perceptive. I'm so perceptive that when one of my friends did a neat trick with a pencil, I was able to copy every step of it. But I'm getting off topic. The fact is that the shadows were moving, and I don't mean the kind of moving like when a tree is blowing in the wind and the shadow on the ground moves with it. It was too late for me to say anything when the shadows struck. All of my friends were taken, and I was spared. I still don't know why. I cried when I got home. What else could I do? Nobody would believe my story. They would just think it was my imagination at work again.
I went to bed early. I felt terrible and helpless. If only I had said something... But then I heard someone moving outside. I looked out of my window. There was a black figure moving in our backyard. I grabbed the steel pipe I carried for such occasions and I went outside. It was cold and I wished I hadn't gone outside without a shirt on. But now wasn't the time to worry about that. I walked up behind the person. Somehow he noticed me. "So you must be the one..." I got freaked out. "You'd better stay away if you want to keep your head!" I was bluffing. I was so frightened that my arms felt like lead weights. The person turned around. I don't know why, but I looked down. He had no legs! He had to be a ghost! Now I felt my legs go numb, and my tongue felt like a limp noodle. The ghost spoke again. "Come with me if you want to save your friends." How did he know about them!? Things were getting too confusing. Before I knew it, he opened up a hole in the air. It looked like a bluish slide, leading to an unknown destination. I had to trust this ghost. If he meant to help me save my friends, then I would do it. "I'll go." I said. I felt like I had gained confidence and bravery. That was until the spirit went behind me and shoved me into the hole. As I was falling, I felt this tingling sensation in my back. I flipped around, but I didn't see the ghost. But I heard him again. "There is more than just your friends at stake. The fate of the universe depends on you!"
[Stay tuned for the next entry. I'll try to post them regularly.]

The little things and how they matter...
this is where you'll probably find the nonsense from the guy with his head in the clouds...
The sword I wield is not one of steel... it is forged from guts and courage, polished with honor, valor, and bravery, and sharpened with wit and knowledge.
