Whisper in the Breeze: Natural Blond, Red and Brown Streaks. Vaelen's hair is cut very short and very messy. Her hair is cut exactly like a boy's and she keeps a headband around her messy hair. "Shion's" hair however is long, always in pigtails and the color is a pale pink-white. When in pigtails, her hair reaches her waist, but when down, it almost reaches her knees.
Roots, Trunk, and Branches: Vaelen, though eighteen, has no chest what so ever. She is quite tall though, standing at a piping 6" 1'. "Shion" however has a huge chest, and is shorter than Vaelen. Both girl's have semi-tanned skin.
A Shell to Hide in: "Shion" wears much different clothes than someone would think. She wears very long, elegant dresses. Her favorite, and most common dress starts with a black leotard. Over that is a black skirt that goes down to "Shion's" knees, and ending in pink frills. Over that, "Shion" wears a black petticoat with the same pink frills along the middle, her pockets and the bottoms of the coat. The coat goes down about half of the skirt length. Her long black sleeves are bare. Over every thing she wears a small caplut cape. Sewn into the back, are two angel wings. On her feet she wears boots that go all the way her legs.
Vaelen wears much different outfits. Her Exorcist outfit starts with her jacket. The jacket is a half-trench that reaches just above her knees. The jacket has silver lining across the front and trailing along the bottom. Under that she wears a black vest with silver lining. Under that she wears a long sleeved white shirt. Her bottom is a black skirt that only goes to her mid-thigh. Under that she wears long black leggings. On her feet she has silver and black boots with golden buckles holding them to her feet. Around Vaelen's neck are two things. One think is a think black cord with a silver angel wing pendent. "Shion" lives in this pendent. Also around her neck is a black ribbon with red numbers sewn into it. The two numbers read: 49 on the front and 250 on the back. Both girls have tattoo's. On Vaelen she has a tattoo of an angel wing under her right eye. On "Shion" she has a devil wing above her left eye.

A Blessing and a Curse: Innocence Name: "Shion"-The Threads of Eternity

The reason that Vaelen turns into "Shion" is becuase she is her Innocence. "Shion" has the power to manipulate string and wires.
Transformation: This is a simple skill. When "Shion", inside of Vaelen, senses anything evil Vaelen turns into "Shion"
Eternity Elements: "Shion's" thoughts are channeled through the string in the form of whatever element she chooses. Her favorites are electricity and fire.
Noose of Eternity: "Shion" wraps her string around the neck of any Akuma around her and severs it cleanly. Can attack multiple targets.
So Many Names: When Vaelen was born, she never knew her parents names. By age two she was taken away. She was chosen to be the next Bookman. Her parents were erased from her mind and she began traveling the world with her 'Grandfather', "Shion" and her duty to write down history. Slowly, "Shion" began to train Vaelen in the ways on Innocence and was her storage for history. At the same time though, "Shion" began eating away at Vaelen's life source. Her life source, "Shion" says will not last past age twenty. So, as Vaelen traveled and fought Akuma, writing down history into "Shion's" mind, she grew bored. She no longer wanted to do this anymore. So her grandfather gave her a new mission: To bear a child before "Shion" took up her life source. To this, Vaelen refused. She would rather have died than give birth.
When Vaelen turned twelve years old, that it was when the new war began. Vaelen's 'grandfather' took her to the Black Order headquarters and they took her in. Much like Lavi, she was very distant and semi cold to the other people in the Order. But when she hit fifteen, all that changed. Vaelen became cheery and joking. "Shion's" attitude even seemed to change as well. Though, through her smile Vaelen hides her deadly secret of her time of death. All she wants is to live her life out to the fullest and die doing something she loves. She hates the fact that she will be leaving the world in just a few short months.
