woo! so im back, but as i feared... my brain died. ive been so busy with prom (both real and internet) because they just HAPPENED to be relativly close to eachother and then there's school, and mothersday (hope you all love your mothers! and shout out to all the mothers who may read this) and blah de freakin da.
at this point, i wouldnt be supprised if the audience said [shut up and stop making excuses]. yeah well... i like excuses. so deal. but like i said, my brain is kinda... dead. so this may suck for a bit. But ive got a few small plans that will hopefully make up for the suckage. and seeing as i know pooh's [journal radar] is probably going off right now... this could take me a while to finish, so keep checking back for random updates! ^ ^

The laughter that filled the halls of the movie theatre echoes for all to hear. Some turned their heads to see who had gone crazy, while others steered their children away. Some were caught by the contageous laughter and joined in for a moment, while others just laughed their heads off at the ridiculous sight of 8 teens falling over each other and laughing hysterically.
"THAT... was so... freaking... FUNNY!" loxley gasped as she struggled to hold herself up against luna. Both girls were shaking with laughter.
"oh my gosh, im actually crying!" alteara cried. The other three girls stopped to look at her, then burst into laughter once again.
"what the heck was with that thing at the end!!" Allen wheezed, holding his stomach. "it just flew by all like... uuuuuuuuhhhhhhh...." He made a strange face, crossing his eyes and waving his arms. The girls fell into another fit of laughter, joined by Ren and Lavi.
"dude!" lavi cried "even KANDA thought it was funny!" he pointed over to the samurai who seemed to be hiding behind the group, but was doubled over and laughing silently into his hand.
"shut it... stupid rabbit!" he puffed.
"that was so good!" Ren grinned. He snuck up behind Loxley and grabbed her around the waist. "BLLLEEEEHHH...." he moaned into her neck. Loxley screeched into laughter while the other girls continued to laugh harder, luna falling to the floor and clutching her stomach.
"ah... thats it..." she laughed. "i cant move... anymore... im going to die.... of laughter..."
Lenalee, still giggleing, looked out the window.
"its... getting dark." she tried to catch her breath. "we will need to head back soon."
"eeehhh?!" Loxley cried, forgetting the boy messing with the back of her head. "where are you going?!"
"we just got a day off" allen sighed. "we have to go back tonight and start work again tomorrow!"
"work?" Ren popped up from behind Loxley. "well that reminds me. Dont we have business with the head branch?" He grinned slyly. Loxley nodded enthusiastically. "yup! That means we will have to head back with them!!"
"really!?" luna and Alteara cried. "thats great!"
The group pulled together again, then moved out of the theater into the night streets. The sky was lit with mini lanterns, strung from building to building, sending a faint golden glow upon the street. Vendors were still open, selling their wares to the slightly busy street.
"there must really be a festival." Lenalee commented. "i dont think the town is normally like this..."
"thats great!" lavi cheered. "why dont we all go enjoy it!" The group agreed, then split up into groups, with the girls going one way, and the guys another.
The girls headed toward the left, following the sound of theme rides and excitement.
"i hope we can ride on something!" alteara cheered happily, bouncing on her toes.
Luna sighed. "so long as it doesnt spin, im good. All of that laughing already has my stomach in knots..." the group nodded in agreement.
"hey..." lenalee stopped and pointed to a building that looked condemned. "whats that..?"
With the guys...
"how the heck did we end up in the shopping district?!" kanda snapped, folding his arms and glaring at the red head who happened to be next to him.
"dont blame me!" lavi cried, raising a hand in defense. "allen and Ren were the ones leading."
"hey i was following him!" allen pointed to the dark haired Ren who was gazing into a shop window.
"sorry guys..." he sighed. "i was hoping to find something for loxley, but im having a hard time..."
"oh!" allen sighed. "you should have just told us."
"yeah dude." lavi grinned. "we already got our stuff earlier."
"... you got stuff?" Ren cocked his head. All three boys held out small packages. Allens held a hair clip decorated with dark blue lilies and gems. Kanda's held a small necklace with a gold japanese dragon pendant on it. Lavi held out a box packed with paper and holding a small crystal fox.
"why did you get a crystal figure?" Ren asked, blinking at lavi. The boy shrugged. "she likes shiny things?"
Ren chuckled. "well thats all well and fine for you guys... but i still dont have anything!"
"well why dont we keep looking?" allen piped up, putting away his gift with lavi and kanda doing the same. They shoved through the crowd with slight appologies and grunts, until kanda froze in front of a game vendor. It took a moment for the others to notice, but when they did, they returned to the staring samurai.
"yuu, what's up?" lavi asked, his hands held behind his head. Kanda reached up and smacked him without even blinking. Instead, he continued to stare, and pointed onto the 'prizes' shelf. In a small box were four bracelets, all designed in the same circle of copper but with different engravings and colors. One was red, designed like fire. Another was black, designed like the night sky. The third was White, designed like air and clouds, and the fourth was blue, designed like the sea. The boys stared, mouths open. They were perfect.
"they're perfect..." allen gasped.
"duh!" lavi snapped. "didnt you hear the narrator?!"
The others (plus narrator) deadpanned.
"OMGITSALLENIMISSEDYOUSOMUC- i mean *cough* welcome to my game stand!" A little dark haired girl (who looked suspiciously like Rhode Camelot) popped up from behind the counter and grinned evily at the boys.
"what game is this?" Ren asked, looking around at the booth. There was a large target on a wall that was quite a distance away, and a box of baseballs sat on the floor.
"its a baseball booth silly!" the girl grinned, pulling a sucker from her pocket and twirling it in the air. She ripped off the wrapper and shoved it into her mouth.
"5000$ a ball." she grinned.
"how about i just steal the prize?" kanda snapped, bearing down on the girl. Suddenly, sven popped up between them.
"YOU BE VANTING ZE CANDY YA?!" he grinned wildly, nodding in excitement.
The others stared in shock, with Kanda moving away slowly. Ren just blinked in confusion.
"what candy?" he asked.
The others all panicked, making slashing marks across their neck to signal the boy to stop, but Ren just blinked.
"sooo?" the evil little girl grinned and shoved sven back under the counter. "wanna play?"
"not for 5k!" lavi screeched from waaaaaay down the street.
"oh fine." the girl huffed. "1$ a ball."
The boys blinked. "o...kay?" allen shrugged at the girl and handed her a dollar bill.
"MUAHAHAHAHAH- *cough* i mean, here's your bat!" she smiled sweetly, then handed Allen a pink umbrella with a pumpkin head.
"RHODE-SAMA~! what do you think your doing lero!" it cried, twisting about "earl-sama will not be happy with you lero. This is cruel treatment, lero! I'll report you to the society of abused umbrellas, le-mmph!" The little girl put away her duct-tape and grinned sweetly.
"all ready?"
The others deadpanned.
"sure..." allen sighed, trying to hold tightly onto the wiggleing umbrella. He reached out to the ball handed to him by the little girl, then tossed it into the air, and swung with all his might. The ball fell and landed on the counter, right in front of Allen. The others all stared. The umbrella in Allens hand was bend upward and a 90 degree angle, making it impossible for him to have hit the ball. A tumbleweed rolled by.
"..." allen glared at the umbrella, before he smacked its head into the counter.
"ah!" Lavi laughed nervously "allen-kun..."
A dark aura spread out around allen as horns grew from his head. "i dont like to be cheated..." he laughed evily, dangling the now very limp (and rather unconsious) umbrella. Rhode quickly snatched it back, grinning at the boy.
"too bad!" she grinned. "one try per night! NEXT!"
Allen sighed and slumped away to contemplate his failure, as Lavi stepped up to the plate.
"watch how its done!" lavi laughed, grabbing the floppy umbrella and straightening it out so that it stayed straight.
"you sure your ready?" the little girl smirked evilly, holding out a hand.
"your looking at a bookman!" lavi grinned "were known for our keen observation! There's no way i can miss!!" He threw a dollar into the girls hand.
"okay!" she cheered, tossing a ball up into the air.
Lavi's eyes held a keen glint, and he swung the bat with great force, colliding with it perfectly.
"HE DID IT!" Ren gasped, and allen blinked in suprise. Then the ball exploded into a cloud of black smoke.
"what the..." kanda stared.
"wh-what just... *cough*... happened..*wheeze*" Lavi emurged from the puff of black smoke, covered in soot. He blinked revealing a clear green eye from his black mask. His hair was blown backwards, and also covered in black.
"hahaha!!" The little girl clutched at her stomach, laughing insanly. "that was one of the 'special balls!"
"special!?" allen cried "that was dangerous!"
"its not dangerous!" the girl laughed. "its just dye."
"its WHAT!?" lavi screamed, trying desperatly to pull the substance from his clothing.
"anyway, who's next!"
Ren and Kanda stared at each other with blank faces.
"whiner"
"whimp"
"who are you calling a whimp you chicken!"
"you're the chicken!"
"excuse me!?"
"you heard me chicken!" Ren started flapping his arms and making chicken sounds.
An anger tic appeared on kandas forehead.
"ill show you!" he snapped in a growl, then snatched the now blackish umbrella from the still stunned lavi and moved into position.
"one dollar please!" the girl grinned, holding out a hand.
"fine whatever." kanda grumbled, then pulled out a bill from his pocked and smashed it into the girls hand. She lobbed a ball up in the air, and kanda swung at it with all of his might.
...
The ball sliced in half, then landed on the ground right in front of him.
"YUU!" lavi screeched. "what did you do that for?! your supposed to HIT. IT. "
"shut it!" Kanda snapped, dropping the umbrella on the counter and moving beside allen to hide in shame.
"geeze..." lavi whined, trying once again to get the sticky black goo from his face. "dont you even know what baseball is..." he sighed. "Ren your our only hope!"
Ren's face turned stoney, and he nodded, now a man on a mission.
"ill do it." he said determined. "for the girls."
"FOR THE GIRLS!" lavi and allen held up fake swords in a solute type manor along with Ren.
'where the heck did they... you know what? never mind. I dont wanna know.' kanda thought, rolling his eyes.
Ren walked over and picked up the neglected umbrella that was slowly beginning to regain consiousness.
"mephmoo" it moaned behind the duct-tape.
Ren smiled at it, sending a chill down its spine... pole... thing.
"be a nice umbrella and hold still for me kay?" he grinned.
Lero just stared. Ren moved into position, and the boys watched as a flash of light emitted from the umbrella.
"eh?" Rhode stared, then shrugged. "one dollar."
"here you go!" Ren grinned, holding out a dollar for the girl. She slipped it into her pocket, then tossed up a ball. 'lets see you hit this one...'
Ren swung with all his might, and just when he hit the ball, a blinding flash of light appeared. The others flinched away, then looked to see the ball flying down the field and directly into the target.
"wha.... no way!!" Rhode chimed, holding a hand above her eyes to peer the distance. "i was certain that was an exploding ball!"
"it was." Ren grinned. "i just changed it so that it wasnt."
"eh?"
A loud explosion rocked the fair and the guys turned to see a large plume of smoke rise from far away. The lights all flickered, then died. All of the people around them fell into unusual silence. Then a familiar sound was heard.
"uh... guys..." allen sounded as if he was about to faint.
"we have a ... large... problem."
woot! so the next entry will be with the girls, so were going back in time a little bit! trust me you'll like it XD Anywho, If your confused about the last thing that Ren says, that will be explained later when all of the action dies down. So you have to wait!! XD
im thinking i wont update until my FAVORITE author does, so that she will have incentive to make an ACCTUAL update and not a TEASER!! -.-
