Not to be cliche, but, it's starting to FEEL like Christmas - not necessarily LOOK, for all who know the song, haha.

Not only are the highs only 38 or 40 degrees, but, the past couple of days have been awesome when it came to Christmas fun with people I love.

Monday night I had a Christmas gathering with friends, at someone's house who lived in the country. It was such a small, cozy home, with family pictures and Christmas decor all around, it all just FELT right (not only that, they had an old-fashioned furnace fire going - how awesome, right?). We slammed it out playing DDR, dancing, taking pictures, and of course, opening presents! We had a present exchange, in which was great fun - and I got to sit in a GIANT Christmas bag with a bow on my head. It was really really fun.

Then, I embraced the next morning early and went with my FCA group (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) to the Food Pantry to package/deliever groceries to those less fortunate to buy plenty of food for their families. It was actually REALLY fun, and the only time we were freezing was when we were on the bus to and back (the heater didn't work - imagine that).

We sacked food according to the number of people in the family, and then put it on a cart to be delievered outside to the guys who were loading the food up into the families' cars, and, who made fresh hot chocolate for each member that came. It was so awesome! God really blessed me that day with that experience.

So, tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and then CHRISTMAS!! I'm so excited, I could fall over. We're going to evening mass at our church, and then I'm going to attempt to get sleep for the next day - I may be a senior in high school, but I AM allowed to still get giddy and excited like a little kid, right? Right? wink
