Well, I think it's time I added onto my story! Keeping people in suspense for so long could have a negative effect ya know...

heart "Pure of Heart" heart

Ace felt the need to make some small talk since it was too silent for him. "Hi there," he said. "Nice to meet you. My name's Ace, and I'm not exactly from around here." Ed then said "I'm Edward Elric, and the big guy is my brother Alphonse. I guess you could say we're from out of town." The yellow haired kid seemed friendly while the blue haired kid seemed not to care. The yellow haired kid then started to speak. "My name's Naruto, and he's Sasuke." Ace and Naruto continued talking, and Ace learned more about Naruto. He came from a village called Konoha, or "The Village Hidden in the Leaf". Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were all genin, or beginner ninja. And they all apprenticed under their teacher, Kakashi, who was a jounin. He seemed to be absent from the room at that moment.

Later on when the food was done, everybody ate, excluding Al, who passed on the food (because he's only a soul bound to armor; no flesh and blood). there was talking, and something that Naruto said about being a hero made Inari, the young boy in the hat, get up and leave. The old man then told them that Gato, the man who was trying to take over the land, had killed Inari's dad, who was regarded as the hero of the land. Naruto got fired up and ran outside, determined to train some more. Ace quickly followed after him. Ed, Al and Amaru stayed behind.

Naruto had stopped in a clearing filled with trees. two of the trees had been marked up during Naruto and Sasuke's earlier training. Ace caught up to Naruto and offered to train with him. Naruto handed him a kunai and told him that the training was to focus chakra into your feet and try to make it up the tree. Ace watched Naruto focus the chakra. Then Ace tried. when he ran towards the tree, instead of going up the tree, he had run so fast that he phased right through it! After several tries with the same results, Ace asked Naruto to tell him what he was doing wrong. Then he tried while Naruto was watching. only this time, he ran right up to the top of the tree. Ace was confused about what had happened. He tried not to think about it and asked Naruto to show him some more skills. "It's not skills, it's jutsu, believe it." Naruto said. Then Naruto showed off his shadow clone jutsu, duplication jutsu, and even his sexy jutsu. The third one made Ace so embarrased that he rammed his head into a tree and briefly knocked himself out. While he was knocked out, he had another dream about being with Amaru. Only this time, he had Amaru in his hands and he was surrounded by Demonyx. He then threw Amaru high into the air and thrashed the Demonyx with his big sword (Fang) and another sword. Just as he was about to catch Amaru, he woke up.

It was still night time, and Ace decided to try and practice some of the jutsus he had just seen. He succeeded at the first two, and didn't even think about trying the sexy jutsu. He continued to practice until he passed out in the clearing along with Naruto. This time, he was visited by the spirit of the Black Knight. Ace asked him "Why can I do Alchemy and Ninjutsu when I have never done these before? And why was I able to run through a tree?" The Black Knight responded " It is the power that flows through you. it is a universal energy that can enable you to do these things. However, It is not this power alone that allows you to do this. it is also your powers of peception that allow you to learn these abilities. As for the running through a wall thing, that is the ability known as the shadow dash. you can move faster than time itself when you use this ability. you also become like a shadow, and cannot be hurt in normal ways when you do this. however, do not overuse this ability, for the strain it can put on you will take it's toll."

When Ace woke up, it was daytime, and Naruto was talking with a girl. The girl got up, and started walking away, and then the girl said something. "I'm not a girl, I'm a boy." Ace could see the shock on Naruto's face, and imagined that was what he probably looked like at the moment. For days, Ace and Naruto continued to train. Sometimes Ed was there, practicing alchemy, sometimes Al was there, looking for edible plants, and Amaru always showed up at noon with lunch for the two of them. "If only I could tell her how I feel," Ace though everyday when she came. One day, Ace and Naruto were so worn out from training that they were left behind. Sasuke, Sakura, and even Ed and Al went to guard the old man at the bridge (Kakashi had asked them to come along after seeing them practice alchemy one day). After some time Naruto awoke and left as well. Ace was still asleep, having another dream about him and Amaru. It was such a great dream that he didn't even stir when two samurai henchmen came to take Inari and his mother, or even when Naruto came and knocked them sensless. it was only a short time later that he awoke, got dressed, and ran towards the bridge. when he got there, He saw the boy from the other day, standing with his face bloodied a bit, begging Naruto to kill him. Then Ace notice Kakashi using a jutsu. It looked like light shining off his hand and sounded like birds. Ace memorized it almost immediatley. Ace then saw that Kakashi was going to thrust it at another ninja who was immobilized. out of the corner of his eye, he saw the boy block Naruto's kunai, and was able to read his lips. Ace was horrified at what he realized the boy was going to do. Ace had one shot to save this boy. He ran. He quickly beat the boy to his destination, and pulled out his sword.

Cliffhanger time! what will Ace do now that his sword is drawn? will the boy survive? find out in the next installment!
