I got a Chemical Romance- Two Left Feet So now I dance with The Devil
Chapter Six Guelph
Chels walked down the block, getting cold stares from the passerby. Before today, Chels had never been to Guelph; it was Carla’s town but she could tell it was just about the same as Lethbridge. She was getting the same looks from the people there that she was from here. She sighed and decided to carry it off proudly. She snapped her huge goggles onto her eyes and mussed up her hair. She straightened out her fairy wings and smiled. If the world wasn’t going to end, it would seem like just another day for her. Chels looked at the little piece of paper on which she wrote the directions to Carla’s house; only 2 blocks to go. Reaching the house, she rang the doorbell and leaned nonchalantly on the door post. “CHELS!” shouted Carla, jumping on her friend. She warmly embraced her and smiled. “How goes it?” “Well, considering we’re all gonna die in a few days-” “MAMA, WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!” Shouted Chels in a sing-song voice and they both laughed. “Britt’s inside,” said Carla, leading her friend into the house. When they were in the living room where Britt was still at the computer, Chels wrapped her arms around her friend. Britt jumped but she turned around and gave a huge squeal. “CHELS!” She jumped up and nearly tackled her to the ground. After about 5 minutes of the three of them hugging, they decided to get down to business. “Claire’s online and said she’s keeping in touch with Sami by the phone. She gave me her phone number,” said Britt, giving them the update and the slip of paper with Sami’s number. “I always knew we would meet but I never figured the circumstances would be so grim,” said Chels, taking a seat on the couch. Carla sat back down in her chair, looking at her phone. “You think I should call Sami?” “Yes! I wanna talk to her!” said Britt excitedly. Chels nodded in agreement. “Alright, here goes nothing.” Carla pounded the numbers on her cell phone. It rang about three times before there was an answer. “Hello?” “SAMI!” the three of them shouted eagerly. Carla tapped the button that made put her on speakerphone and each of the girls shouted their greetings into the phone. “Sami, where are you?” asked Chels, adjusting her goggles on the top of her head. “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you,” said the girl on the other end. She began to spontaneously giggle. The three girls exchanged glances. “Sami, where the Hell are you?” asked Carla. “Okay, I’m actually on Aiden’s tourbus.” “WHAT?! REALLY?!” The trio shouted in unison. “NO WAI!” Shouted Britt. “WAI,” said Sami. “Give me proof. I need proof,” Said Chels, skepticism in her voice. They could hear Sami whispering something to someone and the phone being passed off. “Hello?” It was a guy’s voice on the other end. “Who’s this?” asked Britt. “Troy Wambold. Who’s this?” There was squealing on the Canadian end of the phone line. Troy laughed and handed the phone back to Sami. “Is that proof enough?” Sami mumbled into the receiver. “Sami, what have YOU been doing?” said Carla. “WHAT?! Nothing! I mean…well, we were…um...well, um…,” her voice was barely a whisper when she said “Kissing.” “AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!” “I KNEW IT!” shouted Carla triumphantly. “I ******** knew it! Wait ‘til I tell Claire!” “But wait, if you’re on the Aiden tourbus, where are you going and how are we gonna meet up?” asked Chels, getting back to business. “Have you guys heard of The Last Concert on Earth yet?” asked Sami, her voice getting a little louder. “No, what’s that?” asked Carla. “Aiden are gonna go to Seattle and play one last concert before the world ends. My Chem are gonna be there too.” “NO WAI!” “WAI.” “Then we’re so there!” shouted Chels. “But we still don’t know how we’re gonna get there!” said Britt. “Mandy’s in Minnesota. That’s the closest to New York. If you guys could all get to Mandy’s house somehow, Aiden and I will pick you up in the tourbus. I told wiL all about The Aiden Family. Just keep in touch okay?” “Alright, we’re gonna try and get the next plane and try and find Mandy,” said Britt. “Have fun with Troy!” added Carla, snickering. “We’ll call you later.” “BYE!” They all shouted. Troy looked at Sami with a smile on his face as she hung up the phone, her cheeks covered with a fresh blush. “I like your friends.”
