"Sir, sir wake up sir" rang a voice in the darkness. I woke up startled and glanced around. I was in a chimera(transport vehicle). I must of fell asleep on the way over here. I glanced around the armored entrails of the vehicle. Thinking 2 steps ahead of what I would do if this vehicle somehow was under attack. It's an instinct im afraid, a bad one? No, i wouldn't say so, if it wasn't for this instinct I would of been dead a long, long time ago.."How far are we from the feild" I asked. The gaurdsmen said"Sir, we are 5 minutes from the objective". I shook off the drowzyness from my slumber and went to check the holomap. our objective was to retake a city on Cetrus Prime that had been overun by orks. now with my dealings of orks I knew they were expecting us. they wanted us to come to them. To face them in combat and satiate their never ceasing battlelust. However fighting orks is pointless unless you kill every last one. and where theres 1, theres 100.
The chimera came to a sudden halt and the chimera tansport opened. I stepped outside and covered my eyes for a brink second at the blinding sunlight of the outside world. today shall be a great day for the imperium i thought to myself. I started to walk towards the main HQ and at the same time i was scanning the surrounding area. As i was walking towards the HQ guardsmen stood in a line and saluted me. Even the sound of the artillary firing in the distance didnt twitch a muscle on their body. I entered the HQ and looked around the room. Battle plans and holo maps littered the room as tech priests were operating the satelites and relay stations. I saw Gebbet, my 2nd in command commisar and demanded "Status report". Gebbet seemed as if he was just waiting for me to ask the question so he could impress me with how well they reconed the area. he proudly said "We know the orks are stationed to the southwest part of town across the 2 bridges Our barracks and armory are underway as is our main HQ upgrades". "Good" I replied. I have always admired Gebbet as a commisar, he was sturn and loyal to the end, however he was to into himself to consider possibilitys. What if the orks were smart enough to build a 2nd base to delude us into attacking this fake one? Although orks are never that cunning, the thought would never cross Gebbets mind, for that he lacked the necessity of being a commander. Only fools are certain. I then turned my attention towards the holomap. Looking at the holomap we were to the northeast and the orks were stationed to the southwest. There were 2 bridges along the battlefeild, one next to them leading them south of our base and 1 bridge north leading us north of there base. It was a pretty straight foward battle, watch the south and push through the north. I raised my finger and pointed to a spot and said "We're gonna build a thermo generator so we can gather more energy, we will also build generators there so that it will be our main supply of electricity". "But sir" said gebbet."That would be the primary target for the orks". I smirked as i replied "i know". END TRANSMISSION
