“FIRE AT WILL!” I shouted and we opened fire on the orkish tide. 1 by 1 they orks started to fall, the other orks trampling their fallen brethren. It seemed as if we were holding off the orks until they brought their strongest orks, the nobs(1), our lasguns could barely leave a scratch on their skin as they charged us. While I was firing I noticed a guardsman who was hiding in the trench scared. He reminded me of Truvsen. So I pulled out my pistol and shot him in the head “COWARDS DIE IN SHAME, LET THIS BE A WARNING TO ALL OF YOU”. The troops at that moment feared execution and there firing rate doubled. It was not stopping the nobs march. I grabbed my radio and yelled “FIRE CONTROLL INITIATE STRAFING RUN”. Our airships flew over our heads and the air roared with might. The airships started bombarding the orkish forces with countless bombs. The ork nobs were hurt but still charging. I grabbed my radio again and shouted “ARTILLERY SHATTER THEIR SKYS, FIRE THE EARTHSHAKER ROUNDS”. Without hesitation the artillery crew loaded up the rounds, covered their ears, and fired. The sky started to whistle as the rounds started to hit their target. By the time the nobs looked up it was too late. The earthshaker made a direct impact on the nobs and the artillery shells lived up to its name shaking the very ground itself in a mighty tremor that left craters.
I smiled in relief that we stopped them before they breached our lines, more orks were charging but not only that I turned white at the site I saw. The orks biggest, vicious monster was charging with them a squigoth(2). Whose steps would wake even the dead. The squigoth easily made it to our front lines. “PULL BACK TO THE 2nd LINE, PULL BACK!” My guardsmen started evacuate the bunkers as if they were running from the grim reaper himself. I ordered my troops into the barracks and use the walling to protect them. “THIS IS THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE, THERE WILL BE NO PULLING BACK, YOU WILL FIGHT OR YOU WILL DIE”. The orks were smacking the barrack walls making them crack bigger and bigger. The squigoth was tearing threw the armor of the barracks. The troops were firing at the squigoth hoping to the emperor their shots would be effective. I was thankful that the squigoth couldn’t take out the barracks armor so easily. The assassin then came to me holding his bleeding arm. “I found the ork warboss he’s… before he could say another word a ork 2x bigger then the nobs bust threw the side wall and stuck his claw through the assassin stomach, lifted him, and threw him for what seemed miles. “Eheh dat umie mak’s goods stompun”. He chuckled. He then looked at me and smiled saying “eu mus b da imberial dawg leedin dese grots, I rekon ud b a gewd stompinz”. I was shocked at his humongous size and terrible look. I was scared at his very site. I started to runaway when I realized what I was doing… a commander never orders his troops in which what he cannot do…I turned around and pulled out my 2 swords and said. “Orkish warboss I am imperial guard Commander Richard Striker of the 501st cadian division you either back down now, or face the emperor’s fist. He merely laughed and said. “don hawld ur deud ino me”. I had no idea what that meant but I’m guessing it meant no.
I charged at him with my swords and went to slash his metallic skin. He grabbed my sword with his robotic arm and broke it into half. I went to slash him with the other sword. But he merely took the cut and growled at me from pointblank ranged. He then grabbed me with his mighty claws which could rip a tank apart with ease. I put my hands on his claws trying to open his grip but it was as solid as they get. He started to squeeze my body as if he wanted to see my blood pop out of my head. When I finally thought I couldn’t take it anymore he threw me across the field hitting a brick wall. I fell on the floor coughing out blood and gasping for air. He walked over to me and started pounding me into the ground then threw me once more. I could only see from one eye as the other one was full of blood. He frowned and said. “Aw cmon umie I dot dis wud b fun”. I barely stood up, my legs were shaking from the pain. He walked over to me and backhanded me with his claw. I flew and scathed the pavement and was staring at the sky…it reminded me of lorn V…it reminded me of the snow flakes falling upon us which felt like a wind fresh from the morning chill….it made me wonder if today was the day….that I would be set free….and join my brethren in the emperor’s finest…The ork warboss walked towards me and looked at me while I was on the floor and said. “arwell umie”. And he lifted his claw once more I looked to the left of me and saw the dead assassin and his sniper rifle…thinking…Then a shot rang out, one you might say was heard around the world and shook the ground itself
