Chapter Eighteen
About an hour and a half later, the Aiden bus pulled into Vegas. The girls pressed themselves against the glass windows, trying their best to take in every sight and sound at once. wiL was talking to Gerard again, getting the directions to the hotel they would be staying at. Troy was still sitting on the opposite side of the bus, away from Sami, and was whispering something to Jake D., who was nervously shooting glances at Mandy. Suddenly the bus stopped and everyone got their luggage and pulled it into the hotel.
Unlike the hotel in Minnesota, this one wasn’t empty. In fact, it was getting rather full. wiL told the gang that My Chem were on the 20th floor and they were all about to file into the elevator when they realized Claire was frozen in shock.
“What’s wrong love?” asked wiL, walking out of the elevator and going to his girlfriend. She hugged him tightly and whispered in his ear, “It’s the elevator. I’m a bit afraid of elevators.”
Instead of the customary laughter Claire was used to, wiL simply nodded and turned to the packed elevator. “Calls us when you’re all settled, okay?”
wiL lifted Claire up and gave her a piggyback ride up the stairs to the fifth floor of the hotel, while the gang took the elevator.
“wiL, you don’t have to do this. I can walk up the stairs. I mean, it’s the least I can do for not going in the elevator,” Claire said, still on her boyfriend’s back. wiL shook his head.
“Don’t worry about it. I would do anything for you,” he said. Claire buried her head into his back and tried to suppress her tears. Every time wiL said something to her, she wanted to cry; she had never had someone love her so much.

Gerard heard the doorbell to the hotel room ring and went to open it. When he opened it, there was a mishmash of different teenage girls outside, huge smiles on their faces. It was the girl with the brightly colored hair, goggles, and fairy wings that ran to hug him first. Next were the short girl with the black hair and bangs and the girl with the long black braid, the force of their hugs landing him on the floor. The next three girls, the one with the long brown hair and the green eye-shadow, the one with the multicolored hair streaks and glasses, and the one with the sandy colored blonde hair jumped on the dog pile. Gerard was used to attention from teenage girls but this seemed different, more loving and personal. He tried his best to hug them all in turn.
“Why, hello there!” He said, genially. The girls all giggled.
“Hello!” They said in unison.
“To whom do I owe the pleasure of this hug?” The frontman was all smiles.
The girls introduced themselves in turn; the girl with the fairy wings being Chels, the short girl with the bangs was Sami, and the braided girl was Claire. Next was the girl with the green eye-shadow who was named Britt, the girl with the colored streaks Carla, and the blonde was Mandy.
“Gerard! Who was at the door?” Frank asked, wandering into the hallway. He looked at the girls and Gerard and sighed.
“Awww, we guitarists never get any love,” Said Ray, who stood next to Frank, looking at the dog pile.
The girls helped pull Gerard up from the floor and then ran to hug the two guitarists of MCR.
“Gerard, who are these affectionate girls?” smiled Frank.
“We’re The Aiden Family,” said Carla, snuggling Frank’s arm. “But we all love your band as well.”
“Oh, I see,” said Ray, his head leaning so that Sami could touch his famous fro. “So Aiden won’t get jealous if you’re hugging us?”
“Well, HER boyfriend might,” said Claire, giggling, hugging Gerard and pointing to Sami, who blushed.
“What about your boyfriend?!” she retorted. Claire blushed into Gerard’s chest. Mandy laughed but the girls reminded her of her boyfriend and she turned bright red, trying to hide her face in Ray’s arm. The My Chem boys laughed.
“Well, we won’t tell your boyfriends if you don’t tell my fiancée,” said Frank, nodding. The girls agreed, their laughter filling the room.
Soon, Bob came out and the girls were on him as fast as they could. “Wow,” said Bob, grinning from ear to ear. “I never get hugged like this!”
After the hugfest was over, they got down to business. “You know Mikey’s getting married right?” Gerard asked the girls. They nodded.
“You’re all invited of course.”
The girls squealed loudly.
“Oh s**t, all I brought was jeans!” said Britt.
“I can’t wear jeans to Mikey’s wedding!” shouted Mandy.
“Hey, I’m getting married too!” said Frank.
“YOU ARE?! Then we really can’t wear jeans!” shouted Sami.
“Girls, calm down!” said Bob. “There are some clothing stores downstairs. If you get there now, I’m sure there’ll be something left.”
“The wedding’ll start be at 9 tonight, okay?” said Frank. The girls nodded and ran down the stairs to get some dresses.
