Years had passed. Kash and his new-found accomplace, Kateri, had traveled several hundred miles. They attempted to enter Izzluna and had nearly arrived at the city's outskirts. Unfortunately, an increasingly militaristic Civil War racked the land, and called for more rugged traveling.
Kash's wounds had healed only days after he had recieved them. Kateri proved to be a wonderful artist when using her Shaolin Spade. Her grace and accuracy with the elongated weapon made her look as if she were wind.
Unfortunately, the two had become seperated by a horrible tragedy. As they were crossing the Mi'zakii fields fifty miles south to Izzlun's second largest city, Mi'zakii, a massive army of Mi'Zakii warriors engaged with the High Riders now ran by the ReiZO familia. The battle ranged from skirmishes to all-out war. Archers and infantry attempted to defend their lines as best they could only to leave the once emerald grasses stained with blood.
Kateri was attempting to hold off a small band of High Riders as Kash had turned to face off against several Mi'Zakii swordsmen. Kateri was taken by the riders only shortly after Kash had struck down the last Mi'Zakii. They dashed off across the fields and into the night, Kash unable to catch up.
After four days, the battle subsided. Digging through the dead, Kash hoped to find his friend still alive and well. When he came upon her in a thick patch of wood near a lake, he grimaced. The High Riders lay dead around her. Several creatures also lay on the ground, breathing their final breaths. Their grotesque faces and bulging muscles suggested their were Orcs Raiders from the northern colonies, but one could only assume.
Kash buried his friend and moved on. His next stop would be the city of Bariea. He would catch the next vessel out of here, due south, where he would begin his life as a scholar. He didn't care about the deals with Death or his promises to old friends. All he wanted to do was run, get awayf rom this horrific monster he had created...
