Kash awoke in a sweat. The ship swayed back and forth, rocking as the wind slowly carried it southwards. Kash had been having a restless night of nightmares and horrific images. Not only could he forget his friend, he couldn't forget the deal with Death. It had been years, YEARS, since their encounter. Was he too busy, or did he simply forget?
Neither. The answer came to him with a massive crack from the sky. Kash hurried up to the deck, watching as the sailors gathered. There, on the horizon, all bore witness to a massive tsunami speeding towards their ship.
"What do we do?!" cried a sailer.
"We die.." answered Kash, his hands gripping the sides of the caravel tightly. His claws began to dig into the wood.
"What?! We can't just die!"
"Then I will die. Get this ship as far away from here as possible!"
"But!--" the sailer was cut off by a splash. Kash dove into the ocean, arms pumping and propelling him towards the massive wave. The ship glided onwards, faster now as the men began to row as well as direct with the sail. Within moments the tsunami would strike, capsizing the ship, sinking it and claiming all the lives of the passengers.
Suddenly, the approach of the wave ceased. The water crashed back down to the surface like a feather drifting to the ground. The most water to hit the deck of th caravel was a small rain of droplets that managed to reach so far out....

Kash awoke in a fireplace-lit room, a shadowy figure sitting in a chair at a desk before him. Kash knew who he was, and was ready for his visit.
"Hello, Death." Kash stood. He found himself completely dry.
"I'm surprised you're still alive, honestly. I suspected you to show up almst days after you left my court." Deaths tood, face hidden in shadows, "You see, I knew three months wasn't enough time for you. so I decided to wait until you died. You die quite frequently, Kashimaru. You're like a cat with with the breath of a dog." the creature chuckled at his clever analogy.
"As years passed, I was beginning to wonder how you were surviving. When I found you cohorting around with that little... Tramp, I decided to send some agents your way."
"You mean..." Kash clenched his fists as a grave realization swept over him.
"Yes. Those weren't Orcs. Those were full-blood Death Dealers. Your High Riders and that puny little girl gave up quite a fight before they finally killed them. You see," Death glided to his window overlooking the gates of Hell and the Stairwell to Heaven, "I grow impatient, and you were taking up time."
"Why didn't you take me sooner?! Why couldn't you just spare her?"
"I was ordered." a shrug accompanied the cold words, "The Higher-Ups ordered her execution. She was beginning to meddle in affairs not fit for mortals."
"What..?" Kash's ears perked as usual. This little chat was becoming confusing.
"My Grace, you may show yourself." Death seemed to turn, back right against the wall, and bow. HIs figure seeemd to almost cower against the little protection the wall gave. Kash slowly turned, and as soon as he came round, regretted the action.
Spewing from the fire was a massive head of a Hydra, a creature thought to only exsist in myth anymore. The flames licked at the air, forming a thin layer of heat between Kash and the form of the neck. The eyes glowed an intense white and swirled like massive whirlpools of flame. The creature was slowly moving around Kash, enveloping him in fiery walls.
"I've waited for this moment for quite a few hundred years, Kashimaru... It is my honor to meet you."
"Who are you?!"
"I?" the godly figures tongue flicked out, it being a river of blue flames, "I am one of the five heads of Grathmir, God of the Hydras and the Nagas. I'm sure you have seen a Naga before?"
"You assume correctly.." Kash's hands searched for the hilts of his Tsurugis, returning to his sides empty-handed.
"I come to you with a proposal. It is quite simple, and requires you only to aid my new children inheiriting the world from the surface dwellers. My new followers are not kin of Dragon like the Naga, though they have formed an alliance. They worship me only for power and revenge against those on the surface. In return for my aid, they will revive me so I may grace that plane once more..."
"And why would I want to help you?"
"Ahh. Good question, little Kashi, Kash twitched in discomfort. Only Kurast and a select few others addressed him as 'Kashi', "you see, I have control over your soul. This pathetic attempt at a ruler of Purgatory has given up your soul in, ironicly, a game of chance. A simple roll of the dice we play back in the Neverlands."
"I see..." Kash glanced around for an escape, anything that may get him away.
"Don't you try, little wolfie. Now, as I was saying, I control your soul. It is my decision to make if you return to the Heavens and meet your parents, or are cast into the bowels of the firey hells, never to return to the mortal realm or Heavens again."
Kash ground his teeth, silently pondering the situation. His eyes dashed around the room, or what he could see of it, before he gave his answer...
"What would you have your servant do?"
