6 reasons why Kingdom Hearts 2 isn't a good game.
Seriously, Kingdom Hearts 2 is a fun game but I know now that it completely ruined the series. I mean, does anyone even remember fighting the heartless? Having the big Disney villains as the final bosses and trying to rescue the princesses of heart? No. Because all anybody ever thinks of when they hear Kingdom hearts is guys in black coats. It was a over the top, regurgitation of the first game that was only released to feed the fandom (because KH1 was a legit good game, and people wanted more). But the second game is bad for a couple of reasons:
1. The plot is unnecessarily cloudy and confusing: In the first game you were going around locking the worlds so that the heartless would go away, and now in KH2 the heartless are annoyingly (and inexplicably) back and your objective is to go back to all the worlds and unlock them...
2. In the first game you were Sora, the chosen one destined to wield the keyblade, savior of the worlds. The keyblade had immense power, was a cool concept and a neat weapon that only you could possess. By the end of KH2 everyone has a keyblade, yours is nothing special...(and from the looks of the secret movie at the end of the game, there are more keyblades then people)
3. Lets face it, even on hard mode, Kingdom Hearts 2 is the easiest game ever. You CAN customize abilities, upgrade items and level up but why would you? You can get though the game just fine by pressing the x button constantly.
4. The game spends more time in cutscenes than actual gameplay.
5. From the looks of it, Kingdom Hearts 3 is gonna be even more of a KH regurgitation on steroids (minus the disney aspect).
6. Kingdom Hearts 2 is the reason that the kingdom hearts fandom has such a bad rep. Before KH2, there were a substantial amount of noobs in the fandom but now its incalculable. It has become a gate way series just like Naruto or Bleach where the majority of the fandom is an uneducated, immature, festering sore that puts the series to shame. Why? Because at conventions, people see fugly, noob cosplay groups of organization 13 and say "Wow those guys look cool, I should play that game!" and skip the first game entirely.
And there you have it, 6 reasons why Kingdom Hearts 2 is a beefed up, unnecessary addition the Kingdom Hearts 1 and why it ruined the series.
